Chapter 11

*Serena's POV*

My mind was racing and I couldn't think clearly at this point. Kyle just asked me on a date...

"I'd love to." I smiled at him trying to get my pulse to normal again.

"Sweet. So tonight at seven?"

"Perfect." I answered.

We just smiled at each other and stayed in silence. The silence wasn't an awkward silence although we both seemed a little nervous for tonight.

"You don't have to wear anything to fancy either." He said cocking his head to the side and fixing his light brown hair that swooped to the left.

"Okay." Thank god because I don't do 'fancy'.

"Serena! Kyle! The food is ready!" I heard Kim call from downstairs.

"Let's eat?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. I'm starving. The airplane food was disgusting." I rise off his bed and follow Kyle towards his door.

He opens the door widely and moves to the side,"Ladies first." He puts an arm behind his back pretending to be 'fancy'.

"Ahw what a gentleman," I tease,"But most guys only do that to check out the girl's ass."

"But i'm not most guys." He assured me, following me out of his room and down the stairs.

"Race you down the stairs?" He challenges.

"Sure," I smile and position myself,"1.. 2.. 3... GO!"

We both sped down the stairs as fast as we could and laughed at one another trying not to fall.

Once we reached closer to the bottom I jumped off the last three steps and beat him.

"Yes! I won!" I exclaimed.

"No! You cheated." He laughed.

"No I didn't." I shoved him playfully as we made our way to the dining area.

"Quiet down you two." My mom said placing a variety of colorful bowls full of food on the table. The orange bowl had Spaghetti, the red one had salad, and the teal blue one had rolls.

"Kyle did you show her around?" Kim asked while grabbing a few drinking glasses from the cabinet.

"Yeah. Well, just upstairs not down here yet."

"Okay. Do that after dinner. Your father should be getting here soon." She informs him.

"Okay." We made our way over to the table and took a seat.

Kyle and I next to each other and my mom on my other side of me while Kim is on the other side of the table with a spot ready for her husband.

We hear a car pull up and a car door open and close.

"He's here." Kim says.

Kim moves from her spot and I assume she makes her way over to the door because I hear the front door open and faded mumbling. A few seconds later Mr. And Mrs. Hall walk into the dining area and he has a growing smile on his face.

"Angie!" He exclaimed with a wide grin and hugged my mother.

"Will!" She squeezes him tighter,"Ugh. It's been so long."

"It really has been a long time," He lets go of my mother and turns to me,"Serena! Oh you're so grown up." He hugs me.

"Yup." Is all I can process as of this moment. I can't believe I couldn't remember I was friends with Kyle and my mom was and is still best friends with his parents. How will this vacation turn out?

"Well, what are we waiting for lets get to eating!" Will, as I recall what his name was, clapped his hands together and we all chuckled and sat.

*Kyle's POV*

I wanted this boring lunch to end so I can go plan where i'm going to take Serena tonight. I literally am fidgeting in my seat because of all the excitement after she agreed to go to dinner with me.

"Kyle, Pass me your plate honey." My mom spoke after we all finished eating and talked for a while.

"Thank you for the food, Kim." Serena thanks my mom and smiled at her.

When her smile meets her eyes it is the most amazing sight i've ever seen. She is so beautiful.

"Okay, mom I have to go do something. I'll come back down in a bit when i'm done." I warn my mom so she doesn't get mad and barge into my room as usual.

"Okay. Just don't be gone to long."

"Yeah. I know." I inform her and make my way out of the dining room toward the stairs. Taking two steps at a time I almost trip toward the top of the stairs and laugh at myself for being so clumsy.

I reach my door and walk in, closing the door behind me. I go to my closet and just stare at my clothes that i've worn many times.

I need to switch things up from my band t-shirts and black jeans, but what?

I look further into my closet and finally find and figure out an outfit. I chose a white and black baseball tee, white jeans, black and grey vans and to top it off a grey beanie.

So where should I take her that is fun for the both of us and not boring?
