Kenji led Darius and me through the jungle, far from where Dave and Roxie dropped us off. As we moved, Darius tapped my shoulder with a worried expression.

"Is he going to get us lost?" he asked.

"I don't know, but I still say we should go back to the dino poop. I'd rather we deal with that than get caught and get stuck with Roxie's fury," I replied, crossing my arms.

In front of us, Kenji looked around with a confused expression. Darius' edgy look only became worse. "Maybe this was a bad idea," he muttered.

"Chillax, bro. I know the way," Kenji called out with a smirk before walking straight into a tree. He fell back and landed on the floor with a thud, Darius sniggering.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly, giving Kenji my hand and helping him off the ground.

"I'm fine," Kenji said, analysing the tree he had walked into. He then began to smirk.

"Are we here?" Darius asked, tilting his head to the left.

"Yeah, see,' Kenji crouched down and pressed a green button hidden by grass, a metal trapdoor on the other side of the tree opening. It revealed a tunnel with a ladder latched on the side. "Ka-ching!" he exclaimed, smiling proudly.

"Where does this tunnel go?" Darius asked, peering into the tunnel with curiosity.

"This tunnel is part of an underground network connecting the whole island. This is how the big dogs get around. You're looking at Jurassic World VIP, kid," Kenji smiled. Then, he jumped into the shadows and disappeared from our view. Darius glanced at me and tried to smile reassuringly.

"I know guys will go wherever Kenji leads us, even if I warn you again. Roxie did say I had to watch you, so I suppose I'll have to follow you guys. Besides, I am not shovelling all that dung alone," I said.

"It will be fine. I'm sure Kenji knows where to go... I hope so, anyway," Darius replied.

I gave him a small smile and nodded, "I hope so, too."

I stepped over to the whole and climbed the ladder, Darius climbing down. Kenji then flicked a switch, the lights turning on and illuminating the long tunnel. He smirked at us with his arms crossed, and an excited yet nervous look came to Darius' face.

"You still bummed about that genetics lab?" Kenji asked smugly. Darius just grinned.

"Let's go," Kenji said, walking down the tunnel. Darius and I followed after him in silence, Darius scrutinising the tunnel as if he were trying to remember the route.

After a few moments, Darius asked, "For real, though. Where are you taking us?" His eyes suddenly lit up. "Are we seeing a secret Trex or a rare sauropod?"

Kenji chuckled, shaking his head and grinning, "Kid, Kenji has something better than a rare sauropod. We're headed to where they quarantine the dinos that are too aggro. The last one I saw here was some Carna... Carna something."

Darius gasped in surprise, and I couldn't help but grin. He reminded me of the girls in my class when they saw a video of a kitten or puppy.

"We're going to see a carnotaur!?" Darius screamed, clasping his hands together. "That's, like, one of my top favourite dinos!"

"Sweet, right? The park offered to name it after me, but I said, 'Nah, I'll hold out for something cooler,'" Kenji said. "I figured you'd like it, as thanks. Which is for y'know, not being a narc when-"

"So there is a carnotaurus right up there?" Darius excitedly interjected, looking above where we had come to a stop.

"Obviously," Kenji scoffed, "Like my boy Masrani always says, when Kenji promises, Kenji delivers!" He then bent over the control box and pressed one of the buttons. Nothing happened. Darius gave him an expectant look, and I rolled my eyes. If this doesn't work out, we can return and do something before the others arrive.
