After walking through the jungle, we reached a clearing and stood before the observation tower's gates. The others, apart from Ben, were looking around with excitement.

"Okay, open the door! Let's go in!" Sammy cheerfully exclaimed, moving away from Brooklynn.

Kenji and Yasmina walked up to the top of the gate and started to try and pull the gate open, using all their strength. Eventually, they both moved back with frowns and shook their heads. But, unfortunately, they weren't able to open the door.

"It's locked," Kenji stated.

Ben flashed a triumphant smile before his expression changed into mock disappointment. "Oh, wow. I guess we can't get in. We should all go back before someone comes along and we get in trouble." He weirdly laughed and began to walk away, but Kenji grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"Wait, where is everybody? There is usually someone around," Kenji said while holding onto Ben.

I looked around the area, and it was true; nobody was there but us. How strange. Brooklynn smiled determinedly and picked out a black hairpin from her bun. She walked towards the gate, pushing Yaz and Kenji aside.

"If we're doing this... Then we might as well do this?" Brooklynn then picked the lock quickly, smirking as she finished. "Ta-da!"

I gave her a look; that was the same trick she used when she showed me one of her vlogs a while ago. The other campers stared at her in disbelief.

"What? You didn't see my Unboxing Kathmandu video, 'Hacks for when you lock yourself out of your hotel room?'" Brooklynn asked, frowning slightly.

"Last to the top is a rotten egg!" Yasmina burst out excitedly, ignoring Brooklynn.

She ran towards the stairs and sped up to the top. Darius stayed behind and continued to look around with an odd expression. I walked over to him and rested my hand on his shoulder.

"You alright?" I asked. He turned to me with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, slowly moving my hand off his shoulder. We both began walking up to the tower's top, and I watched Darius curiously.

"How often did you say you came to Jurassic World?" Darius asked.

"Every summer. It gives my dad a place to drop Kenji and me off without us getting in the way of his work," I replied. He stared at me with soft eyes.

"He doesn't spend the summer with you?"

I laughed then. Dad didn't have time for Kenji and me, even on birthdays. That caused many problems I'd rather not think about right now... I shook my head. "No, but it's okay. The staff know us well at this point, and we get exclusive VIP treatment, which is fun," I smiled.

"I'd love to come here each summer. I'd never get bored!" Darius said, starting to grin.

"I highly doubt that," I said, nudging his arm.

We burst out giggling and continued going up the tower. At the top, everyone was leaning over the edge and looking at the jungle, trying to find what had made the roar we heard earlier. Then, suddenly, we felt the ground rumble. We all peered more over the edge of the observation tower, trying to find the cause.

"There is something out there," I said.

"Something big," Darius agreed.

Ben sat down on the edge, dangling his legs out as he held onto the edge rails for support, watching the jungle terrified. Then, something grey moved in between the foliage, and we gasped. That was when we saw it. It was a brachiosaurus. It rolled onto its hind legs and gracefully raised its head to eat the tree's leaves. It looked calm and peaceful.
