I've officially labled this as a "slow update" story. Only because I'm officially taking college classes now and things are getting pretty hectic once you add all of that onto work and family obligations. I appreciate your patience and understanding, it really means a lot to me. Now the updates won't be SUPER slow, they just might not be every week. I apologize for this. I encourage all of you to keep reading, though, becuase I definitely am continuing this story to it's conclusion! Thank you sooo much to all of who you follow the story! Again, I notice every vote and read every comment! I love you all! Enjoy Chapter 13!

Nico’s POV

Last night’s show in Anaheim, California was One Direction’s last show for about 6 days. Which means we all supposedly get a break. Unfortunately, however, when the boys get a break, I do not. They’re still running about like mad, invoking utter mayhem just like they always do.

Sydney is coming to visit while they boys were on break, mainly because there would be more time for us to spend together since I won’t be so busy prepping the boys for shows and seeing that everything goes smoothly during sound checks and the like. It was currently 10am, and we had travelled back to Los Angeles last night after the show. This is where we’ll be staying for the next few days before we head off to Dallas on the 22nd, where the boys will perform the following night.

Sydney would be landing at LAX at exactly 12:45pm, so I need to make sure everything will run smoothly during my absence, i.e. the boys have sufficient amounts of food and water for a maximum of 3 hours, that they would be thoroughly entertained so they wouldn’t cause trouble, that all of their questions about what our plans were for later on were properly answered and satisfied, and etc. If you’re thinking that it sounds like I’m babysitting children, then you’re somewhat right. While they maybe full grown, they’re still quite a handful. Being their assistant and “mum” while on tour kind of goes hand in hand.

Anyway, all in all, I’m really anxious for Sydney to visit. A lot has been happening, with Zayn and me trying to uncover this ‘super top secret’ secret that Louis and Harry are hiding. For some reason I have a vague feeling that Sydney is somewhat involved, or at least knows about what’s happening. I could be wrong, but she’s really making it seem that way. Because a) When she called yesterday, her timing was so in sync with when Louis caught me and Zayn snooping it was almost unbelievable, b) When we were talking on the phone, she seemed unusually interested in the fact Harry was involved in the secret keeping, but uninterested in Louis’ involvement, and c) She kept going on and on about how I should just leave it alone because I might get hurt.

Coincidence? I think not. She definitely knows something. I know for sure now.

I currently stand in the kitchen, idly stirring my coffee, which is probably cold by now, as I remain deep in thought.

“Good morning, babe,” Harry comes up from behind me, placing a kiss on my cheek.

“H-Harry,” I say, somewhat startled. I need to stop zoning out.

“How are you?” he asks as he wraps his arms around me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder.

“I’m good,” I say. “And you?”

“Lovely,” he replies as he grabs a cookie from beside me on the counter and begins to munch on it.

It strikes me that Harry and I haven’t engaged in a normal, non-awkward conversation for the past week it seems. Each time we’ve talked before this, Harry would always be hinting towards the fact that he knew something I didn’t, or he’d just avoid me mostly altogether, probably so he wouldn’t accidently tell me anything.
