Heaving a breath as hunched forward, Athena gripped the white sheets that accommodated her bed – mouth heaving open as she caught her breath – sweat and hair sticking to her forehead as if she just had run over a marathon, unable to breath that she can feel the heat rising above her skin. Her heart was beating wildly in her chest that she felt like if someone were to hug her from behind, they would've mistaken such misplacement of heart that the organ could be felt beating erratically on her back.

"Shit," she cursed to herself, breathing heavily as she tried to compose herself, calming down from the high she just felt while she was sleeping – a different kind of high that she felt like she was having a nightmare, a painful pang in her chest can be felt.

She dreamed of Jennie, again.

But not just Jennie, but the very first time she met her – the times were they didn't know the things that will be coming ahead of them – things that will come through their way and will ruin such friendship. She was aching to see Jennie these past few days and faith was playing tricks on them, preventing them to see each other.

Sighing heavily, running a hand through her sweaty hair, feeling uncomfortable in her state again, Athena tried to catch her breath for a moment before she stands up – stumbling a little – eyes catching the clock in her room to see that it was around three am in the morning. Preferably, the usual time she would wake up from her ruined sleep.

She would like to blame the pills; the p[ills Doctor Park gave her because she needed to take it before taking the actual medication, to make the process be more effective when the time comes. She had been taking those same pills, probably a lot more stronger when she was still a kid, and at that time she didn't know what it was, but figured out later on when she was a lot more older.

She was thankful because the pills has been giving her energy, though the side effect was mostly insomnia to her age so she had to endure it while she can, and that, she was doing.

Making her way outside, which were all still engufled by darkness that surrounded the entire country, Athena took it upon herself to open the garden lights in her thick jacket - sniffing when she could still feel the chills from the cold air that welcomed her.

There was no way she could sleep again now, which has been happening the same these past few days - and she was always on her own to figure it out. Well, not really her own, Aera had been helping her fall asleep - something the younger girl used to do back when they were still trainees and Aera would sing to her, but right now she just can't afford to wake the girl up.

She felt like she bothered her so much these past few days and she owe the girl an equal amount of sleep, instead of waking her up.

She would've waken the girl up unless she was horrified after waking up, which happened days before.

But not now.

The garden were all one way or another changed into another whole form - probably because Luna took it upon herself to change to positions of plans to give way to the plants they bought when they were out of town, and if Athena was being honest seeing the purple tulips - which Luna positioned at the center of the garden - made Athena feel better even just for a little bit.

Rubbing her sleepy, tired eyes, she sniffled a bit before sitting down on the couch by the bonfire, making herself comfortable with the small pillows stacked in them.

And then she stared.

Like, stared.

She wasn't thinking of anything, she was just staring at the purple tulips, mind nowhere, blank - head empty and just occupying time.
