BLACKPINK had recently released their first album titled 'The Album' this 2020—although the singles, How You Like That, Lovesick Girls and Ice Cream had been such a hit hitting thousands of records and sales, BLACKPINK is under fire for allegedly copying GIRLANG's ONOC (One Night Only Concert) + issues of the said kpop group with their former chat topping KPOP group, GIRLGANG.

When the album tracklist had dropped, many fans were surprised to see GIRLGANG's Athena's credits under a lot of songs in their album; more specifically in the specialization of music producing, Athena has been a huge part of making the album happen and continue to hit the charts again and again.

GIRLGANG's Athena has been renowned as one of the most youngest successful singer songwriter and music producer in the KPOP industry, and had worked and made hits for a lot of KPOP singers, the most recent success being Irene and Seulgi's Monster duo-debut, that has charted the music charts and had won various of wins. That is why, upon seeing that Athena had produced most of BLACKPINK's hits in The Album, such as How You Like That, You Never Know, Lovesick Girls, Crazy Over You and the banger, Pretty Savage—shouldn't be the girls thanking the GIRLGANG member instead of bashing her?

Jennie of BLACKPINK had said spoken up in a comment on an IG post about GD and Athena recent scandal, saying; Athena knew he was toxic, but she still went for it has been under fire as well for the fans had taken this negatively and had accusing Jennie of being a bad friend, and that is not how you treat someone who had helped BLACKPINK's album a success. With the album, the drama between Jennie on IG—BLACKPINK and Athena—Athena and GD; it seems like the fans became more enraged when BLACKPINK had held a concert, the title as The One Night Only Concert where every ticket is on for the lowest price possible, in celebration of the album. If you do not know, the One Night Only Concert is a traditional signature mark of GIRLGANG whenever they would drop an album the same night their album drops—a lot of mafias are protesting and expressing their anger towards BLACKPINK and YG and how YG is losing originality in making huge publicities for their idols.

The fans also called out YG and BLACKPINK for exploiting and taking advantage of GD and Athena's scandal to promote more of their album—and feasting on the rivalry between GIRLGANG and BLACKPINK for more sales.
