Ren pov:
I obviously declined jace's offer but it was still nice of her. As I bit into my sandwich I was in the mood for swimming tomorrow. It was still hot so a swim would be nice.
As I swallowed the bite I gulped some water. "How about we go swimming tomorrow?" I broke the silence. Eden nodded "it'd be nice! I haven't went swimming in a while." badger was oblivious to what was going on and on his phone texting his boyfriend Asher.
Jace commented "let's make a competition and see who can swim the farthest and fastest!" he seemed so happy.
- ren pov finished. My POV again.
I was excited to go swimming tomorrow, maybe I'll go easy on Eden since I know she isn't the best with swimming. I giggled and placed my arm over her shoulder
"You know Eden I can always teach you how to swim like I do". She sighed and walked over to throw away her garbage. Did I startle her? God I keep messing up.
I tapped on badgers shoulder hoping he would return to reality
"Hey badger wanna go swimming with us?" I said in a joyful tone
He nodded in agreement. After some chatting with the three we walked back to class.
I couldn't stop thinking of eden. What if I'm making her uncomfortable or just Making moves too early. Honestly whatever, I should focus on school because that's what my mom and my family wants. I just want their approval.
As I was in class sketching things in my notebook I was observing my surroundings as always.
I finally heard the bell ring and packed my things. I left the school and went to buy bread to feed birds. As I was walking to the park the bread smelled really nice, like warm and new.
the sunset looked so beautiful as I was feeding the birds, I wish I could see the sunset more often. I took a bus back to the dorm and realized I had some spare bread, eden wouldn't mind if I made us some sandwiches right? I thought to myself as the bus stopped I walked out and walked upstairs to the dorm. This place was still a bit new to me now that we've been here for a week but I still enjoyed it here.
I grabbed my keys and opened the door but Eden wasn't here.
it was dead silent, did she go with badger and ren? I grabbed my texted her.
It felt awfully eerie when nobody's around. Dead quiet, like I was the only one alive.
I heard someone opening the door and saw her
"You're back!" I ran to her
"Well I felt like we were short on groceries so I bought some for us"
I helped her put the groceries away, as we were doing that I asked if she was hungry.
She said she wasn't which I found a bit strange but insisted I made her a sandwich.
As cut the sandwich in half to put in the toaster I remembered something from when I was younger.
- "Here's your sandwich mom!"
As my mom took a bite of it she seemed so happy and called me her goddess saying it was the best sandwich she's ever tasted. -
I chuckled lightly and bought the sandwich to Eden. She didn't say much but I can tell from her facial expressions that she enjoyed it.
"Make sure to brush your teeth and put on some pajamas!" I reminded her.
As I turned off the lamp.
"Would you like me to read you a bedtime story" I jokingly said
"Jace we aren't elementary schoolers anymore."
"I'm joking! Goodnight Eden!"
"goodnight." she sighed
