Alpha Avenger (Thor x Reader)

The sun had barely been up, the cool breeze rippled threw my fur as I ran threw the woods. I tend to do this every time im feeling stressed out or nervous. Running was kind of my thing it's all I've ever known. Something about it called me it was the only time I felt truly free and at peace with what I am. Even though it was always short lived because like everyone else in this world I had some skeletons in my closet that haunted me.

As I ran towards my small little cabin in the woods I felt something was off. I picked up on a new scent I've never smelt before. Coming closer to the door to investigate I hear the voices of 4 different people.Trying there best to whisper but that's nearly impossible, I had super hearing. It didn't feel like I was in danger but I could sense there fear grew greater as time passed. Taking my chances I swung the door open my claws out and everyone jumped ready to fight.

"Stand down we're not here to fight you or hurt you" a man with a patch yelled out raising his hands and dropping his gun to the floor.

"Who, who are you people and what are you doing in my home?" I ask not letting my guard down not even for a second.

" My name is Director Nick Fury of S.h.i.e.l.d, this is Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, and Mary Hill" he said as he pointed at the different people in the room. I still was confused as to what they were here for. "Y/N where not here to cause you any harm we just want to talk" he said so calmly as he walk towards me.

"How'd you know my name" I stuttered,nervous about the whole situation.

"I know everything and everyone" he chuckled softly. "Y/N I am aware of you gifts and I want to make you a proposition!" As he spoke the laugh faded and he became more serious his eyes not breaking eye contact.

"I would like you on our team" the other man blurted out. I stood there confused as to why this was all happening trying to piece it altogether. "Nat and I are apart of the Avengers. We could use someone like you working with us" Tony said pacing back and forth in the room.

"What can I possibly offer you guys I'm not special" you let out relaxing a bit letting your claws disappear and taking a seat at your table.

"Are you kidding me we saw a tape of you running into a burning building saving 21 people in less then 10 minutes. Your pretty badass to me" The red head blurted out taking a seat right besides me.

"You saw that! Listen I know what it looks like but I seriously don't think you need me. Okay I'm no good" I whispered lowering my head as I fiddled  with my fingers. Imagines of what my life was once like flooded my mind. All the terrible things I've done, all the people I've hurt.

"Y/N but we.." Nat tried to argue before I cut her off.

" Listen Im not going to okay I've already hurt enough people, I have no one left okay I deserve to be alone. Everyone I care about or get close to ends up dying or getting hurt. I can't and won't risk something like that"I screamed out slamming my  hands on the table causing everyone to jump at the sound.

"You don't have to be alone Y/N this is no life for you. It wasn't your fault, what happened to your pack wasn't your fault. I can tell your a good person and your trying to make a difference so don't let your peoples deaths be in vain. Live your life. Join us we can make a difference together and protect one another, you aren't alone and you won't be." Nat rebuttals placing her hand on my shoulder.
A tear falls from my eyes it's warmth rolling down my cool cheek.

"Okay I'll do it" you said as you wiped the tear from your eyes.

Time jump: 1 week later  

Waking up, the sun kissing my skin, I laid there for a moment in bed. Getting lost in my thoughts before my phone started to ring. Not bothering to answer it I see that Tony is the one calling. What could he possibly want this early in the morning. Tony has been on my case ever since I moved in the tower. He's constantly watching over me and sometimes it annoys me but he has his reasons. Nat is the only person I ever talk to, we've gotten really close in the past week. I haven't met the others yet. Which lets just say I'm not completely ready for. Nat had told me that not everyone was on board when they heard about their being a new member on the team. Hopefully things go right when the time comes.

After a while Tony started to blast my phone.
Tony's texts:
"Hey"
"Hello kid answer your phone"
"Why don't you answer"
"Listen Wolfe answer your damn phone"
"Just get your ass up and get down here it's important"

What could possibly be so important I thought to myself. Getting up I threw on a oversized hoodie some black shorts, and my sneakers. I quickly tied my crazy curly hair in a messy bun and ran downstairs to meet up with Tony. Looking down at my phone I walked in the room my eyes not leaving the screen "What was so important you had to wake me up you flying tin can.." I started to say before my eyes left the screen realizing the room full of new faces.

"Don't call me that Y/N" Tony argued.

"Well don't call me Wolfe then Stark" I argued back.

"Anyways the reason I called you down here is because I wanted you to meet the rest of the team" he said with a stupid smirk on his face.

"Oh a warning would've been nice but hi guys I'm Y/N"

After a while of getting to know everyone we all decided to have lunch together. Sitting there with them the smiles and the small bantering back and forth reminded me of my past. It was a feeling I couldn't shake. Some how even though we've barely known each other I felt at home as if they were like my family. Slowly making me remember that I had no more family left, my sadness grew deeper. No one really realize except Wanda. As I pick at my food on my plate I tried not to think of it so much. But it was as if I was having an internal battle with myself trying to not cry but I lost terribly. A tear escaped my eyes and before anyone could notice I got up and walked away without saying a word.

"What was that about, why'd she leave like that" Sam asked confused as to why I even left seeing that I barely touched my food. Wanda looked to Nat concerned but Nat just shock her head before saying "Just give her some space she's new and probably has a lot on her mind. Don't take it the wrong way". Nobody said anything but just sat in silence the rest of the time .
