i turned off my phone and closed my eyes, hoping to go to sleep soon as i was really tired.

it was the day before my birthday and i couldn't be more excited, i never used to like birthdays until now, i had friends, i was in a good state with my Mum/Mom .. everything was going how i wanted.

~

i walked into class and saw an empty seat next to Riley, who was talking to another friend beside him/her. i sat down and started getting my book and pen out,

"am i invited to this big party of yours ?" Riley whispered, moving his/her desk closer to mine,

"who told you ?" i snapped

"don't you want me to come ?" he/she pouted

i laughed "of course i do, only Hayley and Georgia know so far" i paused "i think"

Riley smirked "i think more people know than you'd like"

of course, i thought to myself.

i walked into the huge shopping center with Hayley and Georgia, we were going to shop for an outfit for my birthday party tomorrow night.

we had been walking around for 2 hours, Georgia and i had our outfits picked out and just wanted to leave,

"what about this one ?" Hayley asked holding up a tight, neon green dress for us to inspect,

"that's hot" Georgia smirked, "that's the one" i agreed.

finally, i sighed once we were out of the shopping center, it was dark already

"how are we getting home ?" i turned to ask Hayley and Georgia,

"my Mum can pick us up" Georgia paused "in an hour .." she whined

i rolled my eyes "we can just wait around till then"

"or we can go somewhere else" Hayley smirked, reaching into her jacket pocket, pulling out a green-looking "cigarette" .. it was weed.

"i've never smoked before" i stuttered

we walked for a few minutes before arriving at a bridge, there was no cars, it was dark and quiet.

Hayley pulled the "cigarette" out of her pocket along with a lighter *spark spark*

Hayley took the first hit, then Georgia who handed it to me, my hands were shaking from the cold and partly because i was scared. "come on" Georgia laughed, i took my first hit and coughed a little.

the "cigarette" was finished and Hayley put it out on the concrete path we were sitting on, i felt dizzy and the slightest bit sick.

"let's go" Georgia said standing up once her Mum's/Mom's car pulled up in front of us.

i walked through the front door, still dizzy, and headed straight for my room, flopping onto my bed and passing out.

~

i woke up with an aching headache and feeling dehydrated, i reached for my phone on my bedside table and remembered it's my birthday !

i opened messages from family and friends wishing me a happy birthday before getting out of bed and getting ready for school.

~

i got off the bus and walked into school with Riley who handed me a gift bag with chocolates and a silver necklace chain.

we walked over to our other friends who had set up balloons and streamers around a tree,

"you guys didn't have to do this !" i gasped

"of course we did !" Hayley and Georgia hugged me.

~

the school day felt like it went on for an eternity when finally it was over.

Riley offered to come home with me and organize drinks and food for the party, i was really glad because i had started growing a crush on him/her.

the bus stopped outside my house and i got off with Riley, "this is your house ?" his/her jaw dropped, i laughed.

i gave Riley a quick tour of the house before going into my room and getting ready, Riley was downstairs stocking the fridge with alcohol and water bottles.

"how do i look ?" i smiled, doing a little twirl,

Riley's jaw dropped "you look amazing" he/she smiled,

"thank you" i blushed "we have an hour until people start arriving"

"cool, i'm gonna go check out the games room" Riley smiled,

i laughed and sat at the kitchen bench, texting Hayley and Georgia while i waited.

it was 20 minutes into the party and everyone was having a blast, Georgia put a playlist together and blared it from a speaker in the living room, Hayley set up strobe lights in the kitchen and living room and Riley made sure there was enough alcohol for everyone.

"having fun ?" Riley tapped me on the shoulder and grabbing me by my waist,

my heart started beating really fast "yeah this is amazing" i smiled

"good" Riley smiled, kissing my cheek before leaving to dance with his/her other friends.

an hour passed and there was already people passed out on the floor and the house was trashed.

"wanna come outside for a smoke ?" Hayley came from behind me, tugging my arm,

i nodded and walked outside, passing Riley who seemed to follow behind us.

i sat down on a chair and shared around a bong with Hayley, Georgia, Harry, Riley and another one of Hayley's friends.

most people had left and i was extremely drunk and high, i tried walking up the stairs when i fell and felt a pair of hands lifting me and carrying me into my room.
