Coming Out

It had been 3 weeks since Hermione and Ginny had shared their first kiss. They had been planning to keep it a secret but unfortunately Lavender and Parvati were involved in that secret so everyone knew.

They also knew about Harry and Ron but laughed it off, Ginny saying "Now we all have someone and we won't have to worry about third wheels!"

During the reveal of the Golden Trio's relationship, there was another shocking reveal. A lot of the teachers were secretly in relationships and had decided to come out too to support them, 3 of those being Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey, Madam Hooch and Madam Rosmerta and finally Professor Sinistra and Professor Vector. This came as a huge surprise but the school soon became accustomed to the teachers holding hands or stealing occasional glances from each other.

Hermione, Ginny, Harry and Ron were sitting in their armchairs by the fireplace, Ginny in Hermione's lap and Harry and Ron sitting side by side in holding hands.

"Hermione, can I ask you something?" Ginny said.

"Of course, darling, what do you need?"

"I was just thinking, what do you think about telling our parents?"

"Well I can't say I haven't thought about this before but I don't mind, whatever you want."

"Can we tell them then?"

"Absolutely, I don't think my parents would mind." Hermione said knowing fully well that her parents had tried more than once to suggest her getting with Ginny which had turned out not to be in vain.

Then the boys caught up and Ron chimed in, "I don't think Mum would mind, she has been bugging Ginny about you and kept saying that you two would make such a cute couple."

"Oh" Hermione blushed, happy that Mrs Weasley had been pushing the idea of them together herself.

Harry spoke, "Ron should we tell them as well"

"Only if the girls do"

"Then it's settled, Ginny, why don't you write a letter to your parents and I'll write one to mine" and the two girls walked to their dormitories mentally prepping themselves to reveal their relationships even though they new that they would be fully accepting.

It took a while for Ginny to write but eventually she came up with something.

Dear Mum,

You are my best friend and have been since forever. You were the only other girl in the house and you have always supported me, whether it was when I told you that I preferred Quidditch over girly thing or whether I liked girls. You have always been at my side and my secret confidante. But then I met Hermione and she was there for me as well. You two became my best friends and I remember when we had Girls night at HQ when we had so much coffee we stayed up the entire night. 

I guess I should get to the point now. You know how when Ron invited Hermione over for the first time you mentioned how cute it would be if Hermione and I got together, well at first I just thought it was a joke but it isn't anymore. After the whole You Know Who possessing me thing, Hermione was always there for me in school, forcing Ron and the others to check on me. She was the only one other than you that I could open up to and no matter what, she always had time for me. Even in her third year when she literally had to travel back in time just to get to lessons.

What I'm trying to say is I have fallen for her. And turns out I'm not the only one. We kissed. Like on the lips kissed and we are now dating. I love you and I can't wait to bring my girlfriend home. I really think she might be the one.
