So, one day Sirius messes up. He was being harassed by a bunch of Slytherins again, talking about all the 'pure-blood' shit and basically, annoying the fuck out of him until one of them said, "Sirius is so pathetic, I highly doubt he could do anything to disgrace his family name further."
Something in Sirius snapped. They'd already bullied him about practically everything, even his choice of friends and he just couldn't hold it in any longer.
He hexed the leading Slytherin and hissed at the group, "Oh really? Well how about being gay and being in love with a poor Half-blood? Would you call that disgracing the family name further?" There was a stunned silence, then Sirius realised what he had just said. He kept a cool face although his heart was racing and he was freaking out.
He punched a guy in the nose and hexed another boy then left, stalking off towards Gryffindor tower. He forced himself not to visibly panic until he was out of sight after which he shot towards the tower. When he got there, he raced into the dorm he shared with his friends James, Remus and Peter and slammed the door shut behind him.
The panic was clearly visible in his face now and he barely registered that both James and Remus were there.
Then, "Oh god! What did you do?!" Remus cried. Sirius bit his lip, thinking of what to tell Remus since he would put two and two together about him having a crush on him then said in a panic, "Nobody died!"
Remus looked at him in disbelief. "What kind of answer is that?!" Sirius was saved from answering by James who was laughing his head off.
" 'Nobody died!' " He cried, mimicking Sirius. "Okay I'm sorry. Its probably pretty serious but uhm-" James paused then burst out laughing again. Remus sighed, knowing why he had stopped talking but Sirius started laughing too.
When they both got under control however, Sirius bit his lip and went up to James and did an obvious sign that he wanted the silencing charm put around the bed so that they could have a private chat.
Remus' heart sank in his chest. He was used to it - kinda - but he still hated it. They always locked him out of their private conversations but they always let Peter in. The only person left out was always Remus.
However, he was only left out because whilst, under the silencing charm, Sirius fangirled over Remus. He didn't know that though.
James frowned but nodded and in the space of 3 minutes they were sealed off from the brunette.
"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I screwed up. I messed up big time!" Sirius cried. James grabbed his friends shoulders and was surprised to see that Sirius was crying. "Sirius?" He said worriedly.
Sirius sniffled. "I'm screwed. Those bitches from Slytherin were pissing me off again and I- I accidentally let slip that I'm gay and I hinted that I liked Remus." He said the last part really fast and hurriedly as if by saying it faster it would erase the scene from everyone present's memories.
James was quiet for a long time, grimacing and twiddling his thumbs and when he finally spoke he said, "Sirius. You should tell Remus about it." Sirius' eyebrows shot up and he started shaking his head. "No! I can't tell him! He'd know about... He'd know about my..." He didn't finish his sentence.
"It's better you tell him then he find out from some random person." James insisted stubbornly. Sirius curled up in a ball and sat pondering about what to do. "No." He said again after a moment. "They don't even know I was talking about Remus. It could be anyone. I only said poor Half-blood and that I'm gay. I narrowed it down to the fact that it's a boy, he's not rich and that he's Half-blood. That's it."
James sat back. "So basically, you could also tell Moony." Sirius knew he was serious now. He had used Remus' full nickname and was still insisting. He grimaced. "James. You want him to know, don't you? You want him to guess it."
His friend sighed and nodded. "Tell. Him." He said again. "Sirius, someone will guess its Remus and tell him, spreading lies or whatever about you to him so please. I know what I'm saying. Better you tell him and let him know the truth then someone telling him a lie." The point was so good Sirius couldn't argue.
He scrambled off the bed and pulled its curtains back open. "Hey Moons?" He whispered. He didn't turn to the bed, didn't move at all but he heard the other boy get up. "Before you say anything, Sirius, I want to say, I hate it when you lock me out of your conversations."
Sirius grimaced but said nothing. Then, he felt an hand on his shoulder. He turned to find Remus, eyes full of worry, looking at him.
"Before I get to the main problem I think I should tell you this... Both of you this. So, I might've hexed 2 of the Slytherins and punched another in the nose." James snorted, now sitting on the edge of his bed. Remus smiled slightly too but nodded at Sirius to carry on.
"Right. The thing that made me attack them. Well. They were being bitches again and I said... I accidentally let slip that I'm gay and..." Sirius took a deep breath. "And I told them that I had a crush on a Half-blood. One that isn't rich." He gave a shaky laugh, too scared to look at Remus. "Narrowed it down a lot didn't I?"
Remus didn't answer but tightened his grip on Sirius' shoulder. They stood like that until Sirius couldn't take it any longer and looked up at Remus to see his face. His cheeks were flushed red and he was smiling uneasily. He knew. "Is that why I'm not allowed in your private conversations?" He asked finally. James frowned. "How'd you know?" He said.
Remus didn't answer but kept looking at Sirius. "When were you going to tell me if that hadn't of happened?" He said. Sirius shrugged with one arm. "What hexes did you use?" He asked, trying to lighten the situation. Sirius didn't answer. "OK. I'll just, I'll have a think ok? Let me, let me think it through." He took his hand off Sirius' shoulder and sat back down on his bed and Sirius went and sat on his. When he finally fell asleep he dreamed of his father finding out.
It wasn't the most refreshing night or the nicest dream.
Dammit! I did, I did try but I don't know what I did wrong. I wasn't meant to make another Wolfstar one but it kinda happened. The next one won't be. Hopefully. You know what? I'll do all the ships I ship. Twice maybe. Ion know. I also can't be bothered to check for slight spelling mistakes so yeah.
