Sports Festival 1/2 {Part 14}

There is gonna  be two parts to the sports festival hence the 1/2 in the title, ok not to confuse anyone. Picture above has nothing to do with this chapter.

   I woke up to the sound of an air horn. "AHHHHH!!!!" I screamed as I fell off my bed, my blanket tying around my body. "What the hell do you want!" I yell getting up and throwing my blanket back onto my bed. I turn around to see Shinso standing there with a smug look on his face. "Did you forget what today is sis?" He asked. "Oh yeah i think it is kill your brother day." I said sarcastically as I took the air horn and threw it out my window. "Hey I just bought that!" He whined as I stomped down stairs. I was Immediately covered in confetti as I stepped into the kitchen. "What the hell is this for?" Mic came from behind me and sat me down at a chair and said. "Well we decided to throw a good luck party for you and Shinso for today." "A good luck party?" I asked, he nodded and went back to the spot he was in so when Shinso came down he could throw confetti on him. Sure enough when he came down those steps and into the kitchen he was also covered in confetti. We both made a face at each other as Mic sat him down next to me. I picked a piece of confetti out of his hair aas we got two plates of stemming hot pancakes in front of us.

We both looked at the pancakes in front of us then back each other and we both had the same thought in our heads. 'Last person to finish gets to do the winner's chores for the week.' We both quickly dug into our food. I looked to my left to see that he was on his second pancake while I was finishing my third. We were both on our last pancake. I folded mine up like a taco and quickly shoved it in my mouth. Shinso did the same and I quickly slowed my last bite and slammed my hands down on the kitchen counter. "Hahaha! I won!" I yelled. I look back to see Shinso swallowing his last bite then putting his hand out to shake mine. I sat back down and took his hand. "Thanks for competing with me, you did great." We said in unison. Having a competition in our house means you always had to shake hands with the other competitors or person and say exactly what we just said. Aizawa and Mic always like good sportsmanship so that's what we do every time we have a competition.

I went back upstairs and quickly got into my shower and washed myself before getting out and brushing my hair, then brushing my teeth after. I then quickly got into my school uniform and unplugged my phone, set it back into my backpack and went back downstairs. I sat down on the couch to wait for the rest of my family to be done. This is one of the rare times that we ever left the house together. Aizawa and Mic always had to be to school early since they are the teechers and I usually slept in when Shinso left to go to school. He likes to go to the lab early and fix some stuff before school starts. After Shinso was done he sat next to me and we watched some tv before Aizawa came over, took the remote and shut the tv off and said. "Com'n kids we got to get to school." "K." I said as I got up from the couch making Shinso sit back down in the process, "Are we gonna take the car for once?" I asked as we stepped outside. "Yeah we are gonna have you save your energy for the festival later." Aizawa said as we all shuffled into the car.

Time skip to the festival

We all got off the bus and I looked up at the stadium and immediately got hit with the smell of food. I licked my lips at the smell. Izuku looked at me and was super confused. "Hey Rika? Are you ok? You look a little spaced out." I didn't respond to him and kept sniffing the air. "Rika? Rika!" He tapped my shoulder and I snapped out of my trance and shook my head. "What, What did I miss?" He looked at me with a 'you sure you ok' look. "What?" I asked him, tilting my head to the side a bit. "Nothing, you just looked a little spaced out." I stared at him for a few seconds before my mouth made an o shape. "Ohh you mean that I smelt the food. Every year when the sports festival went on my family and I would always come here and spend the day here and my dad and I would compete to see who could eat their food faster." I explained as we walked into the stadium with the class.
