I get a text from Brynn saying:
Brynn: I went to lunch with some friends, I might need a reminder to go get ready xx
Me: I know how to find you, I'll remind you in an hour or so, don't worry about it x
Brynn: thanks, I'll forget xx
Me: you're welcome xx
I mumble "I have an hour to spare, what to do?" I look around my house and I decide to go work out then I go to shower and change into clean clothes then it's time to to go find Brynn. I go into this government app I have so I can just track his phone by number cause he doesn't like to make it easy for me. You aren't allowed to use this app in cases cause it's not credible for some reason or almost everything would be solved. I go to the place him and his friends are having lunch and I mumble "here we go" putting a glock nineteen in my back waistband and I put my wallet in my other back pocket with my badge in it incase someone wants to be difficult. I go in and Brynn is with his friends and a guy thats is rather close to him and they're up in each other's business, I look past that, I can't do anything. The guy he's with though, I've been looking for since the beginning of my career, he's been on the run and we haven't found him and he's kidnapped kids we've heard too. I go near the bathroom, kind of hiding and I call the Deputy saying "I found him, I found James Kirk, he's with three other people, can I get backup over here to get him out?" The Deputy says "yup, I'm sending a squad out now, do you know who he's with?" I say "he's friends with Brynn and their other friends, two others" and he says "ok, were getting a squad out there, they'll be there in five, just proceed as if you don't know what's happening." I say "glad we didn't close the case, bye" and he says "yup, bye" and I go over to them and I sit next to Lee across from Brynn and I say "you might want to get ready" and he says "thanks for the reminder, thought you wouldn't find me." I say "didn't take me too long" shrugging and James says "and how did you do that?" I say "it's called stalking" and everyone chuckles and I hand Brynn the concealed carry license we had made for him and he says "thank you, I was waiting for this thing" and I say "you're welcome" waiting to hear sirens. When I do I pull my badge out and I show it to James saying "James Kirk you're under arrest, my friend" and he chuckles saying "let me guess, this is also a joke?" I say "is murdering your mom also a joke? Cause neither joke was funny" and he says "you're kidding" and I say "I've been looking for you for three years, seems like you were right in front of me, kind of stupid on my part, they're here for you, punk." Brynn seems very overwhelmed and he says "can I go?" I say "yes, honey, go" when James says "could you stay?" Brynn looks at me and I see a couple officers including Jamie walk in and I get up and I say "come on" offering my hand to Brynn and he takes it, getting up. He lets go and Jamie says "damn, ok, I'm taking him in, I'll see you guys later tonight" and we nod and Brynn and I go outside. He says "tell me about him" quietly and I say "most likely killed his mom, heard he has kids being kept in his basement and has a few petty crimes that he hasn't been charged for." Brynn says "he always makes me uncomfortable" and I say "do you need a hug?" He nods and he hugs me and I rub his back saying "it's ok, were gonna have fun this weekend, are you ready?" He nods saying "I can't wait to show you what I'm wearing, I have to go to a hair appointment, I'll see you at five?" I say "sounds good" and he kisses my cheek and that's when they pull him out of the restaurant and Brynn turns to me saying "can I talk to him?" I nod saying "go for it" and Jamie makes sure to hold him back as Brynn says "you disgust me, fucking creep" slapping him across the face and he leaves. I mumble "classy" biting my lip and I say "I want a full in depth search of his whole damn property asap." Once James is in the car, Jamie comes up to my saying "I think James was in love with him" and I chuckle saying "James was feeling him up when I got there." Jamie says "who are we laughing at?" I say "dumbass in handcuffs misery" and we chuckle and he says "I'm down with that." Lee and a girl come out and I say "you guys alright?" They nod and Lee says "yes, sir" and I say "that's Jamie over there, he might want to ask you a few questions" pointing at Jamie and he comes over saying "what do you want?" I say "just ask them a few questions" and he says "alright" nodding and I go into the office and everyone cheers. I laugh saying "oh shut up" rolling my eyes and I go to my office and I just memorize this mafia mans face then a put the picture in my pocket and I say "I'm going home, I'll be back in a couple hours" to the Deputy. He says "alright" and I go home mumbling "I'm so tired" and I set an alarm once I lay down in my bed for a couple hours and I go to sleep.
