Standing on opposite ends of the small ring were Y/N Silin and Momo Yaoyorozu. They were ready to fight against one another in a small training tournament. Aizawa called start this time around. Yaoyorozu drew a pole from her stomach and rushed at them. She was too fast for any hand to grab her ankles, but wasn't fast enough to dodge a whole new being, for there was no real cap on their powers. If it exists, there is a shadow to go with it. If there is no light, there is no restraint on them because it is all shadow. This new being formed as they raised their hand high then moved it back in front of their body. Their hands steadied and the beast loomed over Yaoyorozu. She stopped dead and looked up into it's non-existent face. Regaining her composure, she forced back her fear and charged ahead. She threw the pole like it was a javelin spear to the beast's chest, which just dinked off and clattered to the ground. Once that was out of her possession, she created a sword from her arm and went to slice the beast's leg to get past it. On contact, their hand jerked out to the side while the other kept itself still, making the arm of the shadow creation swing at her. Yaoyorozu jumped back and stumbled a bit, falling onto her back end. She realized she was out of bounds and sighed.
"Okay, that was hard!" She said and laughed a bit. Y/N relaxed their hands and body, the shadows dropped into a mist and were put to rest. They glanced at their hands, no visible growth of the black. They were still trying to figure out the rate of how much or how long they had to use their quirk to make a visible change. "You got one cool quirk, Y/N! That beast was awesome!" Yaoyorozu smiled and gave them a thumbs up. They smiled at her, the kind of smile where it makes one of their cheeks look cute and squishy."Thanks, took a long time to learn to make em'!" They said, appreciating the compliment a lot. They don't get many compliments about their quirk, since a bunch of people saw it as evil or as a villain quirk when they were younger and the beasts were a little more jumbled and messy, not as solid and sure as they are now. Y/N went over and helped her back to her feet. They went their respective ways and went to where they stood before. They didn't bother to sit on the ground again, as there was barely any time to relax and drift off into thought again. Their next opponent was Eijirou Kirishima. It was pretty easy to tell who he was, now that everything was narrowed down. The courageous and confident redhead with a sharp scar above his eye. He was both loud, but to some degree, calm. It was almost too easy to see how he was, or how to pick apart his 'fronting face'. Aside from his sunshine, happy face, he was strong and sure. Their round came quickly.
Stepping up to the ring once more, they weren't entirely sure how to fend him off. Not only did he have superior physical strength, he seemed to have more stability than the average person. Grounded to the dirt would be a good phrase for him. He hardened his arms and fists for the fight. Y/N raised their hands midway, one lower than the other, palms outward but tilted towards their center, ready to move and control the darkness around them with ease. Their feet were wide apart and their knees bent a little. They developed this stance through trial and error to be better at controlling their quirk. Even if their stance is broken, it's only they can get back into it quickly. Aizawa called start.Kirishima ran towards them head on, like he saw them as a villain or something. Their eyes snapped wide open, their stance broke as their arms curled in tight to their torso. Kirishima was almost blind to their reaction and went for a punch directly to the jaw. Stumbling back on their feet, they raised their arms to protect their face. That one motion brought up shadows between the two. They balled up and pulsed and shook. It looked... alive. Then the floating black mass grew and defined itself. It formed into a tall, human-like being that stood taller than All Might. The sheer size of its formation knocked both Y/N and Kirishima to the ground. It had long arms, slender legs and down pointing elf-like ears. The pure black monster saw with shining white eyes, if you could call them eyes. They were more like solid white baseballs jammed into the flat face of it, slightly glowing. Its hands were larger than its creator's head, with long fingers. Call it an inverted Slenderman, but even Slenderman had feet. This just had nubs that it somehow balanced on. It was in a hunched position when it first formed, but it straightened up and stood. Probably ten feet or three meters tall from the perspective of both Kirishima and Y/N.
"H-holy hell..." they mumbled, coming out in a stutter. For some reason, out of all the terrible and horrific amalgamations they could and have created, this was one that scared them. They didn't intend to have this thing breathe, like it was. Heavy heaving left through a hidden mouth, then back through it's mysterious and shadowy lungs. It was like Frankenstein's Monster, but Y/N was, unintentionally, the doctor. It lifted its head and looked around, eventually looking down at it's creator. They scooted back, fearing if it was going to get attacked. But it didn't. It just stood and stared. They couldn't look into its eyes, the eyes were too much. The tall, lanky, black creature with haunting eyes seemingly disappeared. Not like the other shadows though, they fell in a mist. This one just poofed with little shadow swirls floating where it once was. The next few seconds passed before someone spoke.
"Y/N is out of bounds! Kirishima wins." Aizawa said. That seemingly snapped everyone back and the training continued. They acted like the new kid didn't just create something horrifying.

I think you can guess what I referenced for the shadow's design.
