CORA HAD A LOT ON HER MIND after finding out what Jules told her. She must've been lying, right? But then again, most of Jules predictions came true. Cora was no longer in a mood for her birthday but when she woke up to Rebekah in front of her, only to knock her out then take her over to the Mikaelson mansion. Her friendship with Rebekah confused her.
Now, Rebekah had her maidens dressing the two up for a ball. What Klaus didn't tell Cora was that it was a masquerade ball. Her hair was put into soft curls while her nails were being painted pink with gold embellishments. Rebekah was putting on a red gown with the help of her handmaidens and Cora watches with a paranoid expression.
Rebekah looks at the girl and rolls her eyes. "You look like you've seen a bloody ghost. Lighten up, Cora." She tells her and Cora shrugs mindlessly, already wearing the gown as the finish with her hair, makeup and nails (with a gold flower crown on her head). Rebekah sighs. "Out, all of you," she waves her hand and the handmaidens leave. "Now, what's bothering you? Is it Nik?"
"What—no, no, it's uh, this is my first birthday without my brothers." She whispers. It wasn't the full truth but it was a part of the lie. Rebekah frowns and pulls the girl to her arms making Cora sigh, wrapping her arms around the petite girl as well.
"Well," Rebekah smiles and pulls away. "If you need time away from the ball, just go out to the garden. But for now," She stands up and picks up two masks. Rebekahs one was red with diamond embellishments, she wore light makeup with red lipstick while Cora wore one that matches her pink lips.
(but with a bit pink)
Coras mask was pink and gold. It's covered in pink with gold linings. Cora stands up, helping Rebekah put on her mask before she turns the vampire turns the human around, putting on the mask as well. The two look at the mirror before Cora turns to Rebekah, completely forgetting about her worries and wrapping her arms around the girl.
"I know I'm brilliant but what's the hug for?" Rebekah asks, lightly returning it and Cora smiles lightly, rubbing the girls arm.
"Absolutely nothing." Cora whispers and the blonde smiles widely as they link arms, walking out of the room. "Have you gotten yourself a date, Bekah?"
"Ah yes, his name is Marcel. Klaus agreed for me to go with him, only for tonight, under one condition." Rebekah smiles lightly at the girl. "You'll have to be his date."
Coras jaw dropped. "What?"
"Come on, I fancy Marcel, Klaus fancies you and you fancy him, we'll all be helping each other here." Rebekah gives her a cheeky smile as Cora considers it. They make their way down the stairs, not paying mine to the eyes watching them. "Come on, Cora. What're you going to lose?"
Cora looks at her before sighing. "Alright, but he better not have gotten me any gifts." She whispers as they make it to the bottom of the stairs.
Rebekah leans closer to her ears. "Too late." She whispers before unlinking her arms, wiggling her brows at the girl before turning and confidently making her way to Marcel who stared at her, jaw dropped. She turns around to see Klaus standing there, wearing black trousers, a white blouse, black blade and gold bow with a black mask.
