Waking Up [drabble]

Flare was scared out of her mind.

She would be afraid to go to sleep every night, and she'd tell no one about this. She was scared because she doesn't know what to do.

But Lucy can hear her screams. Hell, she moved into Fairy Tail's apartment complex they had owned. Even if she tells no one at the guild and shys, or hides herself away, isolating herself from everyone. Lucy just knows, in her terrified expression, Flare needs somebody.

So then the next night she has a nightmare, she'll be there for her, to hold her hand, and tell her,

"Flare, my dearest. You'll be safe. I'll be here when you wake up in the morning."

When she drifted off to sleep the next morning there Lucy was, sitting, and resting her head on the bed beside her. For some reason she had good dream. A good feeling. That she will no longer be afraid to sleep anymore now that someone - no, now that Lucy is here for her.
