Fishy Fish

Another day, another day for suffering. Match didn't have time to suffer though, she had to figure out what was going on with the fish. Last night, she took the fish and the axe, and today she was gonna dissect it.

She took out a knife she also took from the restaurant. She wasn't going to use the axe. She began cutting open the side of it. Match remembered the first time she had to do this.

"Uhhh, GB? Why are we dissecting frogs? Shouldn't we get like something else, like rabbits?"

"No, that's how the whole system works! Now go and get that surgical knife and open the frog up." GB said.

"Well, I don't see me dissecting stuff in two years. It's not like one day I'm gonna go find Pencil and shout: I'M COMING TO DISSECT YOU!" Match said.

"Well, you're doing it for a reason. It might be useful afterwards. And the fact that the frog that you're dissecting tried to ruin my new experiment. Now cut the frog up!"

"GB really knows stuff." Match said. Though GB's last log said that she and TB met aliens from outer space, she wasn't about to go to space and find them.

"Hmm, so the fish's body has been cleared, now what's on- AHH!" Something black was squirming around in the fish. It looked like some sort of parasite. "NO, DON'T YOU DARE, IMMA CAPTURE YOU!" Match got herself a see-through glass jar and put it over on the fish. Then she turned it upside down and let the parasite in. The parasite now had nowhere to go. Match put the lid on and put it into a pocket safe. "If there's more, I'll keep them in different jars. That way it might be difficult for them to breed. Maybe I'll bring it to GB's lab." she thought. Now the axe.

She got out the axe and examined it. She found a little button on the side of the handle. It opened a little box on the side. "Wha- this is a puzzle box! Oh well, might as well solve it. Maybe Matty put something in there.

"So, the box opened here, how bout I push it in..." Match said. "Yep, now a uhhhhhh MORSE CODE?"

After an hour of cracking the axe puzzle and contemplating life, she finally solved it. "Ok, so lastly, flick this up, then this up, then down, then down, left and right, then left, now right." She moved to another part. "Now hit the button marked B, and now A."

The last box opened. Inside was a bag of sweets, an action figure of Pawn C. Nut, and a picture of her and Bandana. The sweets looked a bit dirty, but Match thought they were fine. She looked closer in the bag of sweets and jumped. There was another parasite, right there in the sweets. "Ok, so the second jar." She took a second jar and put it over the bag of sweets. She turned the whole thing and shook the bag of sweets to let the parasite fall out. Then she put it into the pocket safe. "I should probably go to GB's lab and test this thing." Match thought.

She looked out the window. It had started raining. She forgot to bring her umbrella, so she decided to wait until the rain stopped. Match didn't want to get wet. "Ok, so maybe I'll look out the window for- OH GOD" Match stopped. Half of the city's objects were outside without umbrellas. Match could see Matty, Lefty, the compact umbrella, the hexagon, half of the local police, and a few more objects. Some of them were lying on the ground, others were running about in the road. Then, they all started mushing themselves into the puddles! They looked like they were dancing or something. "Hmm, the people who I talked with who I felt weird are all here, so maybe this thing makes you attracted to water?" Match thought. She knew this was something important.

"So, maybe I'll go and test it on somebody. Some suicidal object or an object not wanting to live anymore." Match thought. "But who? I'll try and find someone. I should save the remaining objects however, how about telling them not to eat?" Although objects didn't need to eat stuff in 1000 years, they still needed to eat something. "I'll go and make some fliers."

                                                                                         ***

Match was at the library. The rain had already stopped, so she went to photocopy her poster of not eating fish. Inside was a pair of glasses, a megaminx, a cucumber, a pickle, and a red key. The glasses were sitting at the front desk, the megaminx was picking out books, the cucumber and the pickle were arguing quietly about who was better although they were technically the same thing, and the red key was sorting books.

Match walked to the glasses. "How may I help you?" the glasses said.

"Uh, does this library have a photocopier? I need to photocopy an important document."

"Sure, hon. The stuff's over there, by the window. See that shelf? Walk down there, and you'll see the window on your left."

"Thanks!" Match said. She went over to the photocopier and printed out 50 copies of her poster.

"How much is a piece of paper?" She asked the glasses.

"2 cents."

"Ok, here's a dollar."

"Be sure to come and take books at any time!" the glasses said.

"Ok, so now I put all these fliers everywhere, that might help." Match thought to herself. She had to save the remaining objects!

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" someone said from behind. Match whipped around. It was Lefty. Lefty went and tackled Match. She was surprised at how much strength he had. The fliers all went flying about.

"Ack, get off me!" Match said. "Why are you doing this?"

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT WHY DID I DO IT? I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE! WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHY? ARE YOU KIDDING? I CAN'T GO ANYWHERE! WHAT THE-"

Match pushed him over and slammed him into the ground. "You'd better start answering my questions."

"NO I WILL NOT! YOU WOULD NEVER FEEL THE PAIN I HAVE TO GO THROUGH! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO LIVE WITH A-" Lefty suddenly stopped.

"Wait, what?" Match said. She flipped his body. He was dead! Match then found a  bullet. "Who, WHO SHOT HIM? COME OUT, IF YOU DARE!" No answer. "This might be the same person who almost shot Matty." She picked the bullet up. It was surprisingly heavy.

"Wait, bullets aren't supposed to be that heavy, unless.." Match gasped. "It's a golden bullet! Someone really wanted him to die, so they shot him. Maybe they wanted to protect him from saying something. Maybe it's the parasite controlling everyone, and if anyone tries to talk about it, they get killed. That might be the reason somebody tried to shoot Matty twice, because she wanted to tell me about the parasite!" Match thought.

"I should probably go back to my apartment now." Match said. She drove back.

"Someone might be able to tell me something about this. And I know the perfect object to ask. I'm going to get out of Boinks tomorrow." she thought.

Then she slept. She knew exactly what she was going to do.

Well then, this was 100 or 200 words longer than your last story? Too bad, it's still too short. Also, try and figure out 4 references I put in there lol.
