Devastation

If there's any confusion, Lillian was in Germany since she was 21, she got killed when she was 37. She stopped having any sort of communication with Dr Roberts five years ago and Sang is 16.

Axel POV

I feel so bad for this girl she's crying hysterically squeezing the women who I can tell is dead. It looks like she's been that way for a while. I hear her talking in what I'm assuming is German. I only understand her saying mom over and over, then I hear Raven speak back to her. I try to take a step forward when she pulls a gun out, I stop and put my hands up and listen to Raven translate, what she says breaks my heart. She looks up at us holding the gun with one hand and the women with the other. That's when she starts speaking in English:

"You will not take my mother away from me. I just want to hold her and talk to her please, I don't want to kill you, but I will if you try to take her away from me."

"We won't take her away from you we want to help you. Where are you from? Who did this to her" I questioned?

"I will not answer your questions I will only speak to one man" she said.

"Ok who is he, and where can we find him" I continue?

"He's my uncle his name is Robert I think he's a Doctor, yes that's it Dr Phill Roberts that's my uncle. I was suppose to meet him with my mom but-but now, (sob) but now."

I can't believe it this is Dr Roberts niece and his sister Lillian he's been looking for, for the past five years. My hearts breaking at the news. I can see my team look as lost and sad as I feel. I'm the team leader and I have to make the phone call. I'm not sure if I want to inform him of a niece he has never heard of at this moment. I think it's best to leave that part out until we get them to the hospital.

After making the horrible phone call I turn to the girl and tell her we will take her to her uncle Robert. She looks skeptical she don't trust easy I can understand, I have no idea what she's been through but seeing her hold her mother's prone body is more torture than anything I can imagine.

We're gonna have to pull it together for our boss and friend Phill. Marc pulls the truck up and Raven tells her, "I'm gonna pick your mom up and put her in the back you can get in there if you want." She starts talking to him in Russian I'm surprised, so is Raven. He responds to whatever she's saying. He gently picks Lillian up, her body is so badly beaten and the girl keeps her gun on Raven as he moves her mother's body. As the girl gets up I notice how small she is. She has a thick manila envelope around the waist of her pants. She jumps in the back of the truck and settles around her mothers form again sobbing.

Once we pull up at the hospital we tell her we have to go in to see her uncle.
Marc goes to pick up Lillian and the girl jumps out of the truck and holds her moms limp hand. Once she gets out she puts her gun in a holster I didn't notice she had on her waist, Brandon gets a gurney for Lillian. I see the panic on the girls face I try to calm her down but it's not working. We're down the hall close to the docs door when she starts yelling at Raven in German.

He is walking too close to Lillian for her liking, with a swift movement Raven is getting flipped in the air with a thud on the floor. She starts choking him with her foot while she's twisting his arm Ravens eyes are wide. I'm gonna try to help him that is until I hear running down the hall, the girl goes back to here moms side and pulls her gun at us again. We all step back against the wall, Raven stands up catching his breath and he starts apologizing to here. I can tell she's on the verge of doing something, that's when she hears someone take a inhale of breath.

She turns her head to see Dr Roberts she starts shaking and drops her gun on the floor and whispers ("onkel") Dr Roberts has tears streaming down his face recognition to the girl and then sadness as he looks on to Lillian. He goes up to Lillian and gently cups her cheek crying, the guys go to the waiting room to give them a moment. Dr Roberts wheels Lillian into a private room along with the girl, not letting go of her moms hand. I see Dr Green standing there frozen I hadn't noticed him until now. I stand in front of the door guarding it. I tell the rest of my team to go home and rest except for Raven he stays with me just incase.

Dr Roberts POV

Stepping out of my office and seeing Raven on the floor getting choked by a tiny Blond girl would have been funny on any other occasion. Until I notice the girl move and run to the body on the gurney guarding the person on it, while she pulls a gun out at my team. Shes making sure there's no movement from them until she turns to me, looking me in the eyes I realize it's the girl in the pictures with Lillian. She starts shaking and drops her gun I hear her whisper "onkel" (uncle).

That's when my eyes stray to Lillian. I can't keep it together I go and cup her cheek looking at her damaged face and body. I need to get to a private room and figure things out. I need to talk to this bird. If I'm correct she called me uncle does she only speak German? Is she adopted?

I open a private room, pick up the girls gun and hand it to her then, I pull the gurney in the room. The girl won't let go of Lillian's hand and I'm fine by that. I close the door and stay standing looking at Lillian. There's constant tears flowing down my face as well as the girls, she's whispering words to Lillian:

"mama es tut mir leid, er wird nicht weg mit ihm ich verspreche" (Mom I'm sorry he won't get away with it I promise), "Blick waren hier mit deinem Bruder jetzt" (look we're here with your brother now) "wir Sind zu Hause, wie Sie gesagt" (we're home now like you said) "ich liebe dich so sehr" (I love you so much) "Mama, mama" she's whispering mom like a prayer.

I'm trying to take in as much of this information as I can when I blurt out "my sister is your mother?"

She looks up at me with bruises all on her face and says "yes she is my mother."

There's so many things I need to ask her but before I can, she says to me "I want my mom to have a proper burial I will stay with her as long as I can, if we can stay in this room I would really appreciate it. After her burial I would really like to get to know you. It was one of my mothers wishes since I was born. I will do as my mother asked, the things she wanted for me I will try. I just don't know how to do anything without her here I really need this time with her. She wanted to be home, she wanted us to live a life, here, with her brother, my uncle.
She said I was talented, wanted me to meet you. She's told me stories, I would visualize with her being here. You look like the pictures she showed me, she loves you very much. I'm sorry I couldn't have protected her more I tried, but it wasn't enough." Tears are pouring from her eyes.

I grab her and hug her "shhh it's ok we will figure everything out don't worry, don't worry. I'm so happy to be able to get to know you, you are very beautiful like your mother." She puts her head down and says "thank you uncle, I have this for you my mom told me to give this to you if anything ever happened to her."

I look at the big manilla envelope, and on the outside my sister wrote ' my dearest brother.'
I look up and ask her what is your name she looks at me ashamed and embarrassed.

"I'm sorry my name is Sang, Sang Sorenson" I hug her one more time and ask her if she's hungry she shakes her head no.

I have to make a plan to get her out of this room for awhile, so I let her know that I will let her stay with her mom for two hours while I go look through the envelope.

"I will be back for you after that then we will make arrangements we will do this one step at a time." She looks hesitant but shakes her head in agreement. I let her know I will keep one of my friends in front of the door to make sure no one comes in and if she needs anything to let him know, his name is Raven. I open the door and bring Raven in I introduce him to my niece Sang.

She looks at him and they talk in Russian to each other: Давайте начнем более я ворон, это приятно встретиться с вами, если есть все, что вам нужно, я буду за дверью.
He tells her "lets start over, I'm Raven it's nice to meet you, if there's anything you need I'll be outside the door."

She responds:
Я сожалею, я бросил и душили вас, да, мы могли бы начать мое имя Санг и благодарю вас я буду препятствовать вам знать, если мне нужно что-нибудь.
"I'm sorry I threw, and choked you, yes we could start over. My name is Sang and thank you I will let you know if I need anything."

Raven exits the room and Sang returns looking down at my sister. I walk out closing the door quietly. Axel stands as I walk out "I need to look over some stuff in my office I want you to stay and guard this door at all times, if she needs anything send Raven in. She's my niece, her name is Sang. I'll be back in two hours."
