"Any shorter and you'd probably fade out of existence"
"Y/n, I will literally kick your ass", Hermione groaned out, frustration clearly evident in her tone.
"Can you even reach my ass, love?", Y/n laughed out.
They were currently studying on Hermione's bed for the upcoming potions test and Y/n had took it upon herself to have a bit of fun and hold her girlfriend's note cards above her head because Hermione wasn't giving her nearly enough attention.
"Y/n, c'mon I just want to study"
"And I want this date to be more fun"
"This isn't a date. I told you I was going to study and you just followed me."
Y/n simply shrugged and continued to not let her slightly annoyed girlfriend have her note cards she spent the other night working on. Said notes took up all her Hermione time leaving an extremely clingy Y/n that Hermione now has to deal with.
"You know, for a ravenclaw, I'm suprised how much you hate to study and actually work.", Hermione joked, still trying to get the cards out of Y/n's grasp.
"Hey, that's a stereotype. I didnt know you'd be one to follow those stereotypes, love.", she faked a gasp, putting the cards higher up out of her reach.
"I don't but there's a reason you get put in ravenclaw."
"It's called being smart with certain topics. Doesn't mean I know the answers to the fucking tests."
"I'm suprised you're able to become a completely different person around Professor Mcgonagall. All that cursing and you could get detention."
"Well it's a good thing Mcgonagall doesn't come into our room then, isn't it?", Y/n smirked, still refusing to give over the cards. She was going to put up a fight for this.
This had bed going on for over twenty minutes. Constant back and forth of bickering. It was all jokingly but Hermione honestly did want her cards back. She didn't really need them at this point, already knowing she would pass the test but she liked to go over things to keep the answers fresh in her mind.
Times like these made her wonder if the sorting hat made a mistake.
"But seriously Mione, how do you not get run over in the halls with how short you are? I'm suprised no one has mistaken you for a bug and squashed you"
Ah, the days she wanted to smack her girlfriend on the back of the head with the heaviest book she could find.
"You are literally two inches taller than me."
"Two inches is a big difference.", she smirked.
That look was going to be permanently suck on her face if she did it any more, Hermione thought.
"Well there are some advantages to being shorter..."
Hermione looked down to Y/N's lips.
"And what's that?", Y/n slightly faltered, already knowing the answer.
"I have perfect access to your neck..."
And with that Hermione started to place open mouthed kisses to Y/n's jaw and neck, leading her lips down to her pulse point before sucking on it slowly. Y/n shuddered and put her arm down, and just as she was about to place her hands on Hermione's hips, her girlfriend took both her hands to caress them before stealing the cards from Y/n's grasp.
It took Y/n a moment to realise that Hermione had stepped away from her and when she finally opened her eyes, she saw Hermione going back to the bed to start studying again with the note cards in hand.
"Hey, that's cheating!"
"Is it really, my love? I'm just using my shortness to my advantage. And besides, that would make you a hypocrite considering you used your height advantage on me."
Now it was Hermione's turn to have a huge smirk on her face and Y/n only blushed before climbing into bed with her girlfriend.
"I think I just fell more in love with you.", Y/n kissed Hermione's cheek and took a book out to get a bit of actual studying done too.
Hermione then continued to be a blushing mess for approximately five minutes before she too continued her not really needed studying.
