Jacob POV
I just stood there dumbly, watching after her as she walked away. I was so lost.
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked myself. I didn't even know her to do something wrong. All I wanted was to know her name. I couldn't deny the fact that she was beautiful, really beautiful.
I stood there for a minute, just thinking over that short encounter between us before Ray called me. Shaking my head I walked over to him, still thinking about that girl.
"Yo! Why were you standing there just staring?'' He asked while we did our hand shake. And although I heard the question, I couldn't give him an answer. That girl. She was just filling my mind up, taking over everything.
How odd it was that she managed to do that without even speaking to me for more than five minutes.
"You still didn't answer my question." Ray rolled his eyes. "Why were you standing there?"
"HELLO!!!!!!!!" He yelled while snapping his fingers in my face.
"Huh? Um.....yes?" I said more than asked, still confused as hell. Shrugging, Ray and I walked to class side by side. Not a word was spoken between us, either that or Ray was talking and I just wasn't listening.
When we got in front of the math room, I was about to turn the knob and walk in. Instead Ray pulled me to the side.
"Are you okay?" He asked in concern.
"Yeah, why?" I asked, turning to go into the classroom again.
"Okay." He sighed while shaking his head. Because of Ray, we walked into the classroom five minutes late. And the teacher didn't look too happy about it.
"Why are you two late?" She snapped, glaring at the two of us with her nostrils flared up.
"Sorry we're late. It won't happen again." I promised, nudging Ray to make him nod in agreement, which he did.
"Okay." She said, suddenly less angry with a faint smile on her face. "You two can take your seats."
I chose not to comment on her bipolar, mood swing, attitude change, knowing it'd be better if I just kept my mouth shut.

Mani POV
I quickly walked to my class. I was so embarrassed. I can't believe he actually talked to me, and i just walked away. Why would I do that? When I got to my seat, I saw Nia blankly staring at me. It was one of the many faces she made that made me uncomfortable yet I was used to.
"What was that back there?" She asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged my shoulder, honestly not sure myself. "I just walked away."
"But why though?" She questioned, not understanding my dilemma.
"I don't know. I-" I was cut off by the sound of my teacher's voice.
"Good morning class." My teacher greeted as she walked in, smiling brightly.
As we settled down, she started to talk about what she did on her Thanksgiving break. While she was in the middle of telling us what it was that she made for her family, two people walked into the classroom.
"Why are you two late?" She snapped at the two, her attitude changing drastically.
"Sorry we're late. It won't happen again." I heard one voice said. A voice that was music to my ears. A voice that could melt ice just with a small whisper of it.
