Chapter 11: Caiyi Town I

A Water Ghoul leaps from the water towards Nie Huaisang, soon to charge at him, However, Wei Wuxian quickly strikes a hit before it attacks his friend.  

The water ghoul got knockdown, falling to the water, with fright Nie Huaisang instantly fell into his boat.

Water Ghouls began to emerge from the water, Causing the town folks to scream in horror, as they began to run.

"Water Ghouls!"

"It's the Water ghouls!"

The Town people began to run for their lives, But a Young Maiden was captured by one of the water ghouls.

Of course, Wei Wuxian didn't stay still, he reached his sword for his left waist and released a radiant scarlet spiritual color.

It hit its target, and soon after it causes an explosion, luckily it wasn't massive nor did any harm to the Young Maiden.

Wei Wuxian looked at his sword, and stared at it, "Suibian I know that it is indeed a while since you battled, but do try to settle it down, don't forget where we are" he said.

The sword answered with a pulse, agreeing with his master's word.

"Help!" Nie Huaisang screamed.

A large water ghoul came out of the water and started pulling Nie Huaisang's boat, this made Nie Huaisang grab onto something and hold it for dear life.

Jin Zixuan was about to try and help him but was interfered with by a bunch of water ghouls.

Wei Wuxian sighed, he looked at the water ghoul, even though he was behind him, he sent a cold glare, which made the water ghoul froze from the spot, it was unable to move yet can see that it was trembling.

This made Nie Huaisang puzzled, thinking why the Water ghoul stopped and trembling.

A Blue radiant spiritual energy slashed the water ghoul, it let go of Nie Huaisang's boat and fell through the water.

An image of a person jumps to the roof of the boat, Nie Huaisang went to checked and thank the person but in surprise it was.

"T-thank you, Xichen-ge?" Nie Huaisang stuttered.

Yellowed color Talismans flew towards the Water Ghoul, those who made in contact with, created a seal above them.

Wei Wuxian looked up, seeing the person standing in his sword in the sky as his sleeves flutter, he subconsciously smiled.

However, only some of the water ghouls were exorcised while some of them fled away.   

"They're gone" Wei Wuxian said.

"I did indeed thought there were monsters in Biling lake" Lan Xichen said, he looked around and said "The situation is more serious than I expected" he proceeded.

"These things sure know how to escape in this kind of situation" Wei Wuxian let out a small laughed.

"This isn't the time to laugh" Jiang Cheng said.

"Way to ruin the fun ChengCheng" he said sticking his tongue making Jiang Cheng more furious. 

"Wei Wuxian! I told you not to call me by that name!" Jiang Cheng said loudly.

Lan Xichen could only smile at the two friends, he then tried to think about the situation but was called.

"Xichen-ge!"

Lan Xichen looked towards the direction where he heard his name, and it was Nie Huaisang.

"Is there something the matter Huaisang?" Lan Xichen asked.
