Lan Wangji, who appears to have caught a sight of what Wei Wuxian accomplished, hurls a pebble into the air while the other clicks his tongue with a disgusted expression. He was initially perplexed as to why the other had done so. But the longer he stood there watching him, the more his mind began to jumble.

He watches as the others enter the boat, and this has piqued his interest. From afar, he could see how the others opened their colored rose lips and gestured in the same way he did. It cleansed his mind almost instantly, as if on cue.

Someone is chatting to Wei Wuxian.

Enough to see how he made his expression, something horrible could have happened or, should he say, is happening.

It's not every day that Lan Wangji sees Wei Wuxian with that kind of expression. Wei Wuxian usually had a bright smile on his face, no matter how severe the situation was. Simply put, serious things to them are nothing compared to Wei Wuxian's concerns, implying that Wei Wuxian's concerns are greater than their concerns.

Oh, how he wished he could have gone straight to his boat and gotten rid of those troublesome expressions on his face. But Oh. The other man smiled and waved at him, as if he had been staring at him for too long.

He felt his heart lift a little when he saw the smile; how strange it was for him to feel the other expression weighed him down. At the very least, he was able to get rid of his glum expression and replace it with a bright smile.

He could feel his lips expand a little as he noticed the other man paused with the wave and scratched gently at his cheeks with the hand he waved as he quickly averted his sight away from him.

Ah. He gave him an unintentional smile. He, too, turned the other way, embarrassed by himself. He frowns to avoid making the other uncomfortable.

He should've looked him down like some kind of pervert, despite the fact that he had done exactly what a pervert would have done.

He can't blame the other for thinking of him as some kind of oddball. Not when he's been crushing on him ever since. His face flushes at the prospect.

They began to lift their swords again, cautiously. Waiting to see what will happen next. Lan Wangji immediately turned to face the Childish man.

The individual who had just finished speaking with Jiang was nowhere to be seen, which caused bewilderment. He ignored the waves pounding against his boat as he steadied his footwork and continued to scan his surroundings for the man. But he is unable to locate the one he is seeking for.

Panic began to mount slowly in his chest; how could that man simply vanish in the blink of an eye? Given that he was no average weak man, he couldn't possibly have been swallowed by the waves. Or did something happen while they were distracted, allowing them to take the man's hand?

No.

Despite what he had seen right before his eyes, the man cannot be termed an Ordinary one, even if he appears to be harmless. He knew he was powerful; simply being in his presence told him he was no match for him. He may not want to accept it, but he is still concerned about him, no matter what he tries to deny.

He still has to deal with this thing while worrying about the missing man, he clicks his tongue. Has no one noticed? Of course not; they were so preoccupied with vital tasks that they didn't notice anything unusual.

He takes a position, sword drawn. He was prepared to defeat his opponent.. He takes a position, sword drawn. He was prepared to defeat his adversary. Whatever the case may be. He needs to track down that individual.

Even if this impediment stands in his way, he will show no mercy.

_______

Did Wei Wuxian just catch a glimpse of Lan Wangji smiling at him? He was certain it was a smile, no matter how small it was.

Lan Wangji's adoring smile and gaze softening at him makes his cheeks flush. He scratched his cheeks and averted his look when he saw the other make that gesture.

He stands to the side, watching while the other frowns to escape his gaze.

Oh dear.

Is Lan Wangji cursing himself for smiling at him? Was the smile even directed towards him in the first place? Maybe he was irritated because he saw him with a different expression than his usual stern countenance, and he didn't realize it?

Their swords were raised. It's now his turn to slip. He vanished from the boat and sat floated in the air with his blade beneath him, completely unaware of their presence. He was a few feet away from the boat's original position and higher so they wouldn't notice him with how he concealed his existence.

Is it possible that his eyes are deceiving him? He observed the Lan's incessant turning of his head around the place. Did the other notice anything unusual? He swears the man's behavior is identical to that of a panicked person.

A tsk was heard coming from the man's mouth. Is it possible that Lan Wangji just clicked his tongue? ...

Now, what in the world is going on here?

Is he just seeing the other perform things he never imagined the other could? Is this the Lan Wangji he remembers? Or did someone manage to obtain the real thing and replace it with a forgery???

Is he witnessing the other man's different side without him knowing the other have??

That's enough to leave him speechless. He couldn't help but try to suppress a laugh that escaped his lips. He doesn't want his whereabouts to be known to the other cultivators.

"My... It appears that there are more sides of you for me to get to see."

He sat in an angelic position, one arm on his thighs as his hand is beneath his chin. His mouth is forming a smile.

This is definitely worth watching.

He peered down at the scene, catching a glimpse of a dark area. If you look closely, you can see how the waves have begun to darken.

His silver eyes turned red in a matter of seconds, then vanished according to how quickly it appeared. Winds have grown stronger, and the water's fragrance has become murky, lingering with resentful energy.

He smiles softly as he shuts his eyes and feels the breeze gently swing him. Along with it, his hair was flowing. Even if the beast wasn't present to begin with, it would have been preferable if he could play his fluet right now. He would have exorcised it in a matter of seconds if it had dared to interrupt him.

He just opens his eyes to check how sharply they sharpen, eager to investigate how these youthful cultivators manage with this Water-borne abyss. Only if anything goes drastically wrong will he intervene.

He was wearing a wicked grin on his face. His eyes narrow as he takes in the scene. The sun behind him was extremely brilliant. He could easily be mistaken for a Buddha if he were to be seen right now.

You can't blame them; he is one of a kind, and you only get to see his beautiful face once in a while, which makes him proud of his parents' looks.

His robes faded into the ones he wore when he was at the mountain, and his hair changed to a white-silver tone as well. Only then did it go, restoring his natural appearance.

Nobody can be hurt in his presence not when they are protected by an Immortal.

He observes with amusement and curiosity.

Let the entertainment begin now...
