Jisoo’s POV

“Bahn chank bahn chahk jah-geun-byuhl~

Ah reum dahb geh bi-chi-neh~”

My daughter was cutely singing to our favorite children’s song. I just came back from work and I’m still wearing my doctor’s robe. I leaned on the door and happily stared at my little bundle of joy.

“Dong-chok ha-neul-eh-suh-doh~

Bahn-chahk bahn-chahk jah-eun-byuhl~

Ah-reum dahb-eh bi-chi-neh~”

I smiled. My happy pill.

“heul! Nabi-yah that’s so cool!” Seulgi cheered and grabbed my daughter before continuously kissing her cheeks. My eyes widen and immediately ran towards them pulling my daughter away from the bear’s disgusting lips with ewwie saliva.

“I told you to stop kissing my daughter especially when your lips are wet!” I scolded Seulgi and she immediately smacked me on the shoulder.

“I hate you! Is that what I get for being your daughter’s nanny for a day huh?!” Seulgi pouted and yes she looks ugly.

“here and thank you” I handed her the plushy bear which she has been begging me to buy for her.

“kyahhh I thought you already forgot” She squealed and I can only roll my eyes. She’s such a kid.

“Hey love, have you been good?” I talked to my daughter. She was tightly clinging into me.

“I missed you mommy” she pouted. I chuckle and kissed her cheeks.

“Mommy missed you too love” I carried her and walked to the kitchen.

Seulgi then followed.
“Nabi missed you a lot, it’s weekend and you’re still working aish Kim Jisoo give yourself a break. Anyway I have to go now, I’m meeting your sister”

She leaned over and kissed my daughter goodbye.
“Bye baby” she said and walked out of the house.

“Sorry baby. I promise mommy will make it up to you. What do you want to eat tonight?” I asked and she acted as if thinking.

“Chicken!" She shouted happily. I acted surprise even though I already knew she was going to say that. She loves chicken more than any food. One of the many things that she inherited from me.

"That would be great. What about dessert?" I always let her decide on what to eat but I also make sure that she also eats healthy food like veggies.

"Ice cream!" she squealed and I pinch her cheeks.

I tenderly look at her.

I have experienced a lot of horrible things in the past and I did everything I could to forget about it all. The only one thing that I'm thankful for after all that happened is my daughter. She's the only right thing that happened to me. She kept me alive. She gave me a reason to live.

Nabi Mckenzie Kim. My lovely daughter.

"Mommy?" Nabi poked my cheek to get my attention. I turned to her and she was pouting.

"You're spacing out again" She cutely said

"Sorry love. What was it again?" I asked and she frowned.

"I said I want ice cream for dessert Mommy" She said. I kissed the tip of her nose.

"Okay love. Let's go to the mall"

----------

We walked hand and hand to the mall. Our fridge was almost empty and I need to buy new produce and healthy foods for my little one.

"Love, chicken with broccoli, would it be oka--" I turned around and my body went numb. Where is my daughter?

"Nabi?!" I panicked. I ran towards everywhere. My hands are shaking in pure fear.

Baby where are you?! You're scaring mommy

Jennie's POV

I drove to the nearest mall to buy something sweet. My head keeps on hurting this past few days and my mom is always worried. I hate seeing her being stressed out about my condition so I try to get away from the house whenever I feel like it will hurt again.

After I was diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, everything seems new to me. I have a lot of things that I couldn't comprehend and it's frustrating.

I know some parts about me but there was this side of me that seems puzzled.

It's like a bridge over a river. I remember one side and the other side, but nothing in between.

I walked straight to an ice cream stand.

"Milk ice cream in a cone please" I said to the woman and pulled my wallet out of my purse.

"Milk ice cream in a cone please" I heard a cute voice and I turned to my side.

There was this pretty little kid about an age of 4 or 5. wait was she mimmicking me? I smiled then then the woman handed us our ice cream. The kid swiftly took hers as I paid my ice cream.

"Ahjumma sorry I have no money to pay you right now, but can you wait for my mommy please?" She said. Despite her age, she already speaks fluently and I must admit, I am entertained by this child.

"Eh ..." the woman looked unpleased. I smiled.

"I'll pay for her ice cream" I said and the woman nodded, the little girl looked up and I was struck.

Those were ... my eyes?

I have the same eyes as this kid. But her face ... her face was very familiar to me ...

"Thank You pretty lady" she said as she eat her ice cream. I do not know but I felt something about this kid.
I squatted to level our faces and I stared at her intently

"You're a very beautiful little girl, to whom did you inherit your looks?" I asked her, wrong move, I don't think she would underst--

"People say I got my face from my mom, we have different eyes though" she said, she already understood what I said despite my choice of words?

"What's your name?" I asked but I was interrupted by someone.

"Nabi!" A husky voice called out.

I turned to the person and I felt a sudden loud pump in my chest.

The woman stopped and as if her feet were frozen on the spot.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Mommy! Sorry I went to buy ice cream but I didn't have any money, she was so nice to pay for me" The little girl said cheerfully.

I saw how the woman turned pale and quickly averted her eyes to the kid.

"You made me cry searching for you! And I told you not to take anything from strangers!" she said

"But mommy it's just ice cream!" the child protested

"C'mon let's go home" she said as she tugged her away

"Bye pretty lady!" she happily waved goodbye and that's when I woke up from my dazed land.

"Wait!" I shouted but they disappeared in the crowd of people in the mall. I was left there dumbfounded.

Those eyes...

That woman...she seemed...familiar.
