Anne or Beast? (Part 2)

Unnaturally big Dragonflies buzz by Stumpy's as anthropomorphic frog walks out
"Goodnight, you frogs! See you in the morrow." Wally Bumps into something making a barrel roll on screen.
"Oi!"
Various Humanoid Frogs begin Laughing at Wally walking and playing his accordion while humming.
Wally hears loud rustling caused by "something unknown".
"Hello?"
He said as Ominous wind blows.
"What's that?"
He hears rustling in the bushes, and Two mysterious beasts pops up from some bushes behind Wally.
"AAAH! No no no no! NOOO!"
Shot cuts to village inhabitants going about their daily lives.

The next day.

A butcher Amphibian cuts a centipede looking creature which screeches.
An amphibian says woah in surprise as the front half of the centipede crawls up a house and crashes through the window
A few kid Amphibians laugh while playing.
A slug appears carrying a cart with Hop Pop, Sprig, and Polly Plantar in it while trying to eat a leaf on a fishing pole-like stick.
"Ho. Ho."
Hop Pop Turns around.
"All right, kids I'm gonna do a little shoppin'. You watch the cart."
"You got it, Hop Pop! I'll defend this cart with my LIIIIIIIFE!"
Sprig Planter says life while pounding chest.
"Sprig, I was talking to Polly."
Said Hop Pop
"What? Polly's a baby!"
Said Sprig
"You're a baby!"
Polly says this while pointing at Sprig with her hand.
"Polly's got more responsibility in her little flipper than you have in your entire body!"
"Ridiculous. What makes you think I'm irresponsible?"
Asked Sprig
Hop Pop then accepted Sprig's challenge
"Oh gee. Let me think."
Various flashbacks ensue showing A green liquid substance exploding out of a pot while Hop Pop's cutting veggies because Sprig put something in it.
"Oops!"
Another where Sprig crashes through the wall while Hop Pop is sleeping.
Sprig, Hop Pop & Cow-worm start Screaming.
And another Showing outside of Plantar Farm.
"Sprig, what did I tell you about leaving the lights on?"
The. Giant fireflies start ramming the house as Hop Pop, Sprig, and Polly start Screaming.
"Okay. So yesterday was a bad day."
"Mm-hmm."
Hop Pop Hops off of the cart while grunting.
"Polly, make sure Sprig stays stays in the cart."
He then Goes inside the Grub & Go
"Well, how do you do, Mrs. Jonkins?"
Sprig Sighs
"Wish there was a way to prove I'm not such a goof-up."
Just then Wally Runs out, screams & pants.
"Monster! Th-there's a monster in the woods! I seen it! I seen it! I seen it ! I seen it again!"
A bunch of villagers walk in including Mayor Toadstool.
"Now, simmer down Wally. Just tell us what you saw."
"Oh, it was horrifying. It had a long neck like a Giraffe!- oh wait, sorry, wrong show. Okay, so there was two of em ! so They had huge heads, A weird, stubby bump right in the middle of their faces and long spindly limbs!"
Toadie, Sadie Croaker, Mr. Flour, and Leopold Loggle all Gasp.
"Obscene!"
Said Jack McBrayer- I mean Toadie.
Mayor Toadstool then said
"We better catch this beast before it hurts somebody. Because for Mayor Toadstool your safety comes first."
Villagers then start Applauding.
"Well, it's the responsible thing to do."
Said Wally As the Villagers Repeat responsible a few times.
"Polly, I just had a great idea. I am going to catch that beast and save the town."
Said Sprig
Polly Puts one of her flippers up.
"Stop right there! Hop Pop said that you had to stay in this cart."
She flexes her muscles and waves her hand in her face
"You know you can't take me! And you can't see me!"
Sprig Grunts in frustration.
"Oh, oh, Polly, look."
He Grabs out candy from his shirt for just such an occasion.
"Candy!"
He Blows raspberry and drops it.
"...Bribe accepted!"
She eats some of the candy.
"Let the monster hunt begin!"
He goes into the forest.
"Don't die!"
Cut to a landscape with mountains and dragonflies flying above. He is running along in a forest. He pops out of a log and finds a bug in his hair. He eats it. He then readies a slingshot, then looks down and gasps.
"Seems like the beast roams these parts. Probably a good place for a tra-aaAAAAHHH!"
He is caught in a rope trap and flies into the air. He then falls back down. He's hanging upside down. He groans.
"Hm?"
The two beasts in question step out from behind some bushes. Anne is panting and holding a pointed stick, while you were holding your bat up and growling.
"Caught ya! Thought you got the best of ol' Anne, eh? Well, you didn't!"
She keeps panting. Sprig gasps. Cut to the parts of Anne's body Sprig is mentioning.
"Giant head! Spindly limbs! Face bump! THE BEEEEAASSTS!"
"Stop following us! You...talking frog thing!"
You said
"I have bad news for you, beasties! I taste terrible!"
"Ew, I am not gonna eat you."
Said Anne
"Umm, hate to break to you but your actually considered a delicacy in Anne's culture."
You said
"Wait so you really did try to eat Wally!"
Said Sprig
"I tried to ask "Wally" for help. He ran off screaming the second he saw us!"
"That does sound like Wally..."
Just then A monster-sounding screech is heard and Trees start falling over.
"It's coming back!"
You said
"What is?"
Anne groans. She runs off.
"Where you going?"
The monster screeches again. Sprig flails about, screaming. He starts to gnaw on the rope to free himself. The monster screeches again. Sprig stops chewing the rope and screams.
"What do you think, Anne? Wanna save him so you can make one of your moms tasty-"
"Shut up, Y/N!"
Anne frowns and cuts him free. She grabs him and starts running.
"Whoop, here we go."
You, Anne and Sprig duck under a log. The monster- a giant red mantis passes by. You, Sprig and Anne gasp and fall to the ground.
"You... you saved me! You're not a beast at all! You guys are heroes! ugly, ugly, ugly heroes!"
Sprig shamelessly announced as You twitched about to make some frog legs out of him.
"Call me ugly again, and maybe I will eat you."
Said Anne
"Ha. You're not gonna eat me. You got a name, strangers?"
"My name's Anne. Anne Boonchuy."
"Y/N."
"I'm Sprig Plantar! Put 'er there!"
He holds out his hand.
"Uhh..."
She looked at You
"Don't look at me, for all we know he could be a poison dart frog."
"okay..."
She shakes his hand. Her hand becomes covered in slime.
"So... your hand just barfed on my hand."
She rubs off the slime. Her stomach grumbles. She sighs.
Anne stomach rumbles louder
"Okay, "Sprig". You got anything to eat?"
"Yeah, Anne's been Hangry for hours, she even started nibbling on my ears lately."
"Sure do!"
He lifts up a section of the log. Bugs are crawling around underneath.
"Things that aren't bugs...?"
"No bugs, eh? Come on, Hakuna Matata!"
he eats a bug.
"We'll have to hunt around a bit."
he runs off.
"C'mon! Follow me!"
"How do We know We can trust you?"
You asked
"Whaaat?"
he makes a cutesy face
"Does this look like a face that could deceive you?"
Anne laughs
"Yeah, I guess not."
"Well, then, c'mon!"
he grabs both your arms, startling you two.
"Chow time!"
they run off together
Hop Pop Hums coming back
"Huh?"
He watched As Mayor Toadstool began to chant to the townsfolk
"Now, when I say "kill," you say "it." Kill!"
"It!"
"Kill."
"It!"
"Heh. Another day, another mob."
He begins to look behind him
"Come on kids, time to- What the?!?"
"I don't have a candy problem! You have a candy problem!"
Said Polly
"Polly, where's Sprig?!"
"Uh... something-something monster, something-something woods."
"Oh, if your boy went into the woods, he's as good as eaten. Those two beasts will devour everything in there path."
Said Wally
"Not on my watch!"
He Picks up Polly
"Hang in there boy! Hop Pop's a-comin'!"
"Yeah!"
Said the villagers
"Harvest the toenails for medicinal purposes!"
Said Wally
Sprig Dumps a bunch of food in front of You and Anne.
Anne Picks up pink branch-like food and eats it
"Hey, this is pretty good."
"Slimy, yet satisfying."
You said
"Mm-hmm. So, first question: What the heck are you, and where did you come from?"
"I'm a human being and I come from..."
Anne gets up and Shouts
"another world!"
Stops Shouting
"Either that, or this is a dream."
"Or...another Planet, or another dimension."
You said
"Oooooh...What's a human?"
Asked Sprig
"Uh...basically, Ape descendant."
You shrugged
"Woooow... do you know guys how you got here?"
Asked Sprig
"Nope. No clue at all."
You shrugged
"Yeah, One minute, We were in our world and the next thing We knew We were here. We don't know how to get home."
sits on rock next to Sprig
"or if We even can go home."
You sighed
"So, Yup, that's our story. How 'bout you? What were you doing in the woods?"
Asked Anne
"Proving that I'm responsible!"
"Oh, yeah? How?"
Asked Anne
"Uhhhhh..."
sprig thought
"There they are!"
Wally shouted
Mayor Toadstool stepped forty
"Here come our boys."
"What? Stay away from me!"
Villagers tie her up and she screams
"Take your slimy hands off me you damn dirty frogs!"
You shouted as they tied you inside a net
"No! You guys got it all wrong!"
"Ha-ha! You caught the monster! Sprig I'm impressed."
Said Hop Pop
"Dude, what the heck? You set me up? I thought we were connecting!"
Said Anne
"N-no, no, no! This wasn't my plan."
Said Sprig
A Green Praying Mantis Roars approaching the scene, and Villagers exhibit Mixed gasps and screams
"Hurry! Everyone! Mantis formation!"
Everyone gets into formation.
"Hyah!"
The Green Praying Mantis Walks away & squeaks
"We scared it off!"
Said Hop Pop
Mayor Toadstool & villagers cheer
"We have power!"
A Red Praying Mantis Lands
"Nope. that scared it off."
"Yeah, that makes more sense."
The Red Praying Mantis Screeches and hits a bunch of villagers.
"It's gonna eat our guts!"
"NO! Huh?"
Sprig is untying You and her
"What is this, another trick?"
"I'll distract that thing. You guys get out of here."
Sprig Runs and pants
Anne gets up
"Oi, Y/N, come on slowpoke!"
Anne grabbed your hand and forcibly pulled you up and Shouts
"Hey!"
Sprig slingshots a rock at the Red Praying Mantis
"Ha-ha! Oops."
The Red Praying Mantis shrieks
"Aaah!"
Anne Grabs the Red Praying Mantis' arm grunting.
"Do something!"
Anne's eyes flash blue, Yours briefly flash red as you lunges at the large insect like a mad man grabbing its leg
"Oh, right! On it. Here we go."
Sprig Grabs a rope
Grunts while running around with rope
"Round. Loop."
Tries and fails to tie up the monster.
You and Anne Help to completely tie up the monster.
The Red Praying Mantis Shrieks & dies
Villagers Gasps
"Woo-hoo!"
"It's down!"
Said Mayor Toadstool
"We did it!"
You, Anne and Sprig cheered
"Up top!"
Sprig high-fives Anne with his tongue
"Oh, boy that's gross."
"I'm good!"
You stepped back as Sprig was about to do the same to yours
"Well, now that that's settled, what the heck are we gonna do with this thing? Maybe we oughta run it out of town just to be safe. Let it be someone else's problem."
Villagers Starts to mob and shout
Sprig Blocks Anne from the Villagers
"Stop right there! These two aren't monsters. They're just lost and needs out help. We should take care of them."
"Are you crazy?"
Asked Toadstool
"Yeah. What if they go nutty tomorrow and start eating people?"
"Not gonna happen, buddy."
You said
"Don't worry yourselves silly. I'll keep an eye on 'em, both of 'em."
Said Hop Pop
Mayor Toadstool pondered this for a moment
"Hmm. Have it your way, Hopadiah Plantar, but I don't like it. All right boys pack it in."
Villagers start Grumbling as they walk away
"Boo. This thing tastes real good with butter!"
Sprig holds his arm and looks at Hop Pop, expecting a scolding
"Looks like I'm back to causing trouble for the family again, huh?"
He Looks at Sprig, smiling
"Trouble? Sprig, standing up to that angry mob to help these creatures out was... Some of the bravest and most responsible stuff I've ever seen!"
Polly Atop Hop Pop's head
"That was pretty cool, Sprig. It was also really dumb!"
"Yes. Really, really dumb."
Sprig Gasps in amazement
"You think I'm responsible?"
Hop Pop tries to make Sprig understand he meant something else, while Spring enthuses and Anne checks her phone.
"Still nothing?"
You asked
"No. Doesn't look like there's any internet connected where we're at. And from the looks of these frogs, they likely don't understand the concept of WiFi."
Anne said
"...great."
You sighed
"Well, yeah, I mean, just this one time..."
said Hop Pop
"Yes! Woo hoo!"
Sprig starts to perform a victory dance.
Hop Pop Continues
"Well, don't get carried away..."
"Big win!"
"Welp, this has been great, but just give me a map. We've gotta find our way out of this kooky place."
Said anne
"Oh, a map won't be enough."
Hop Pop Gets out a map
"This here valley is surrounded by mountains that are impenetrable this time of year."
Sprig Looks at You and Anne
"It should clear up in a couple of months."
"But until then, you try to cross those mountains-"
"You will die."
"Are you telling me Were stuck here in this crazy place for two months?!"
Said Anne
"Yeah, Where are we gonna stay for the time being? It's like Jurassic Park out there in the wilderness." You said

Hop Pop Turns on the light
"All righty. Kitchen's upstairs. Breakfast at sunrise, sharp."
"Okay. Thanks, dude,"
Said Anne
"Yeah, we really appreciate this."
You said
"Hey! Gettin' comfy?"
Sprig Tosses some plushies on ground
"Brought some toys to keep you company. I'm too old for these. O-oh, except for this one. Oh, and this one. Oops. this one too. Sorry. This one as well. I'm glad your livin' with us, Ape Descendants!"
"Yeah, Me too, weird little frog boy."
Said Anne
"Okay."
Sprig Starts climbing up
"Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite. Seriously, they can drain a body in seconds."
"Oh god."
You cringed thinking about the size of the bed bugs in this world.
"Ew!"
Anne said as she was left alone with You.
"Man...what a great start to your birthday, Huh Anne?"
You sighed
"Right?..."
Said Anne
"Hey, wait a minute, do you still have the?-"
Anne then gasped and Takes out the Magic Chest and blows on it.
"Come on, come on!"
She Opens it to no avail. Then closes and opens it 3 times more and sighs. Anne then looked up at You hopelessly
"Looks like Were gonna be here for a while."
You groaned and flopped onto the floor
"Welp. Guess we should get some sleep then, Huh?"
Asked Anne
"....."
"Y/N?"
"What have we gotten ourselves into, Anne? What IS this place? Some kinda alternate dimension where Frogs are the superior species?"
"Seems like it. Wait, what if this IS Earth, Y/N?"
Asked Anne
"What?"
You asked
"Yeah, what if whatever this box is, teleported us into the future where humanity has already fallen, and Frogs reign supreme and have dominion over all other creatures on Earth??"
Asked Anne trying to sound spooky
"Okay, that's the last time I let you watch Planet of the Apes, Boonchuy."
You glared unamused as she simply laughed
"Sorry, just trying to lighten the mood!"
Anne then slipped into her bean bag and snuggled
"Anyway. See ya in the morning, dude."
"...."
You looked around
"Uh...Anne?"
"Yeah?"
"I don't have anything to sleep in."
"Oh."
Anne opened her eyes
"Um...I guess you can come and sleep with me.."
Said Anne, who then scooted to one of her bean bag
"Oh. Thanks."
You blushed, and nervously slid into the bean bag, right next to Anne, your shoulders touching.
"Well...goodnight."
Anne gulped and nervously laughed
"Yep. Y-you too.."
