"No," She said, turning her nose up at me. "I already know what happened, and so does Taylor. She told me it was only a matter of time before something happened between you two. She's not even sad." She smirked. I could hear the lie in her words.

Well dad, if there's anything useful you taught me, it's Legimency. I used my special talent to peer into Pansy's mind, looking for what it is I knew was there.

'She's heartbroken! And it's all your fault! I want to claw your eyes out and spit into your skull!' Pansy's thoughts snarled at me, and if I were a lesser man, I would have flinched. But I didn't, because I'm manly and shit.

"Wow Pansy, I can tell you're lying from a mile away. Let me guess, she's in tears and thinking about all the times I kissed her, is that correct?" I asked dryly. Hating myself for the lack of emotion in my voice. The smirk dropping from her face was all the answer I needed.

"Do you have absolutely no soul?" She scoffed and rolled her eyes at me. I didn't answer, instead, I averted my eyes to the small bag in her hands.

"What's that?" I asked curiously, nodding my head to the bag in her hands.

"None of your business, Riddle." She said, making me roll my eyes in return.

"Fine, don't tell me, I really couldn't care less," I said, even though I really was curious.

"Fine, now go back to Clemenhoe or whatever her name is, I'm sure you have a lot to snog about." She stormed off, out of the common room. I grit my teeth. I turned around to go to the couch when my face collided with someone's palm. Hard. I could taste a small amount of blood in my mouth. I saw Tania standing in front of me with a scowl on her face, with Octavia standing behind her, her arms crossed.

"What the fuck, Tanini?" I asked, rubbing my cheek where she slapped me.

"Don't call me that. What did you do, you cheating sod?" She scowled even more.

"Would someone listen to me and hear my side of the story!" I shouted with exasperation, throwing my hands in the air.

"What do you mean? You cheated on our best friend with the new girl." Octavia said, her scowl matching Tania's.

"Well, kind of," I said.

"What do you mean, kind of?" Octavia asked, stepping away from the couch she was leaning against.

"I was looking for something, something I accidentally left in Taylor's room, I didn't know she was still there, I thought she left with you girls. She kissed me, I promise you." I said, sighing deeply. I could still picture the image in my mind so clearly...

"You are Mattheo? Correct?" She asked me, I turned around, shocked that someone was still there. It was that new girl, Clémence. I looked at her, she was pretty. But I already had Taylor. Sure, we weren't properly dating, and the only reason we were fake dating is because I lied to her and told her my dad wanted me to get a girlfriend. Ha. My dad couldn't be less involved in my life, too busy plotting world domination or some shit. I could see she was slowly inching closer to me.

"Uh, yeah I am. I'm Taylor's boyfriend." I said, hoping she'd get the hint. She was less than an arms-length away now.

"I know," She said, not backing up. She just looked into my eyes, not blinking, or anything. Just staring. It was beyond creepy.

"Yes, well-" I began, trying to leave.

"I was wondering," She drawled in her French-ish, Britt-ish accent. "If you would give me a tour around the castle, I could get lost here, it's so big." She groaned, she was so close to me, it was more than simply friendly.

"Uh, that's really Taylor's job," I swallowed, trying to swerve the course of the conversation. I wasn't the best at saying no to girls, if she tried to do something, there was a high chance I would let her, simply for the fact of not knowing how to say no.

"But I want you, Theo." She pouted, her hands were on my chest now, I could feel my heart beating a mile a minute, and I knew she could, too. She smirked. "You like that, huh? Me calling you Theo."

"That's Taylor's nickname for me-" I began. She scowled.

"I'm sure she won't mind if I took it. Why are you with her anyways? I don't think you make a cute couple. Besides, you could do so much better..." She said, taking my hands in hers and putting them on her waist, I was panicking now. How could I get this to stop?

"I like her 'cause she's so much smarter than me and so sweet. And pretty. And the funniest girl I've ever known." I said, frowning at the girl in front of me. But she was far from being Taylor. Clémence was probably a great girl. Just not the one I wanted. She moved her arms around my neck, pulling me towards her, her eyes fluttered shut as our lips clashed together. I kind of just stood there, not doing anything. I was in total shock. I heard a small gasp and I broke from the surprise kiss to see Pansy, one of Taylor's best friends. I could feel the color leaving my face.

"Mattheo, what're you doing?" She asked, I could see the anger gathering in her eyes.

"Pansy, I swear it's not what it looks like-" I began, internally groaning. I sounded like one of those asshat guys who got caught cheating. Hell, I was one of those asshat guys who got caught cheating. Fuck. She had cut me off, holding her palm in the air.

"You are a menace to society, I hope you drop dead, RIddle." She said, venom leaking into her usually funnily sarcastic voice. I could hear my heart beating in my throat as Pansy left. I turned back to Clémence, forming a look of disgust on my face.

"What have you done?" I spat with venom in my own voice, something ugly snapped inside of me.

"We were meant to be," She drawled. Her voice now sounded annoying and nasally to me.

"No, you were meant to be in a ditch. And I was meant to set that ditch on fire." I said to her, she formed a look of shock on her face. I stormed out of there and into my own dorm room.

I opened the door and found the door I shared with Adrian, Blaise, and Draco, and Theodore Nott full of girls surrounding Nott. I scoffed.

"Is Milicent not enough for you anymore? Have to move through your entire year, too?" I snapped at him.

"Chill man, they just came here for some weed, you look like you could use some. Here," He said, passing me a bag of something.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Acid, but be careful, too much and-" I didn't listen to what he said, instead, I put the entire bag's contents in my mouth.

"Whoa, dude. That was seven hits of acid!" He said, sounding alarmed.

"Is it bunk?" I asked. It tasted like it.

"Probably, but it still makes you feel something, just not how regular acid does." He shrugged and went back to his group of girls who were now crowding around him, asking for more.

"So, you're telling me that you technically didn't cheat on my sister?" Tania asked, snapping me out of my flashback. It took my eyes a second to refocus. I guess Nott was right. Whoops.

"Yes," I said, sounding relieved.

"Well, you're going to have to tell her on your own. I'm not joining any sides to this." She said, throwing her hands up defensively.

"Planned on it," I said.

"Well, I'm just going to watch what happens because my life has been a little monotone lately," Octavia said, "I could use a little excitement."
