Chapter 6

Scarlett’s POV

“What? How could you say that?” Andrea yelled at me after I recounted the incident that had occurred with Luke that morning to her Julie and Tom.

“He got me so pissed. He’s so weird. He kept insisting that we were meant to be. I just… Ew. It’s completely disgusting to even think about him that way.”

“But you didn’t have to say that. That is even worse than what you said the first time.”

“What else was she supposed to say? It is the truth. He needs to hear it,” Tom said.

“Yah but he won’t stop chasing you because of it you know. He will still think you are on your period or something and you don’t mean it,” Julie pointed out and I knew she was right. He is just way too stubborn and naïve.

“Well what am I supposed to do? I literally have half a mind to go to his dorm and shoot him!” I exclaimed. God I was so furious just thinking about it. Why won’t he just leave me alone?

“Woah Scar. I could always hit him again,” Tom said.

“You have been hitting him for the past year. Nothing has change, and nothing is going to change. I need him out of my life now.”

“Why can’t you just consider being friends with him?” Andrea asked.

“That is never going to work. Especially with him saying we’re soul mates and are destined to be together every second of my life.”

“Maybe he is not a bad guy Scar. Maybe he just needs to be told a little nicer to back off.”

“I’ve tried that. I’ve tried everything. I told you about those horrid things I said to him, he still left a stupid note in my locker after that.”

“Hah, what did it say this time?” Tom asked.

I pulled out the crumpled note from my pocket and tossed it at him.

You’re my kryptonite. You keep making me week, frozen and can’t breathe. You know I’m starting to think this boy has an unhealthy obsession with One Direction.”

“You want me to hit him?” Tom asked.

“No Tom. Please don’t. He is perfectly harmless. Just let him be, I am begging you,” Andrea pleaded.

“If he does or say something stupid I will hit that dork.”

“Just give that poor boy a break for a few days will you?”

“Not a chance.”

Luke’s POV

“Hey Luke, not crying I see,” Coach teased as I entered the gym.

“Shut up.”

“So Luke, today is Friday.”

“So?”

“So, today there’ll be a frat party. I think you should go.”

“What? Why the heck would I want to do that?”

“So you can socialize with kids your age. Maybe you will make friends, who knows.”

“Everyone in school already knows who I am. There is no way anyone here would befriend me.”

“Maybe they won’t even recognise you. Just go and have fun for one night Luke. What’s the worst that could happen?”

“Well from me being Luke Robert Hemmings and all, a lot.”
