Chapter 22

Third pov (o) -

The 12th-grade students of Shield Academy have been studying hard for the upcoming exams for about a month now.

Sam and Bucky usually study together three times a week, while Sam studies with Steve and Natasha twice a week, leaving Bucky to study with Isabella when Sam isn't with him.

On Sundays, Bucky and Sam routinely hang out.

Sam's and Bucky's mom gets along very well. Even Rebecca and Sarah are compatible together.

It all fits so well, and because of that, Sam and Bucky are much closer.

They love how their families get along with each other.

At first, Bucky was worried Sam's mother would make a scene since he saw how she last acted, but then Sam told him that everything was okay. He was relieved of that fact.

Not only do Bucky and Sam love the fact that their family gets along but, Darlene, Winnifred, Sarah, and Rebecca also love it.

They definitely haven't chatted about Sam and Bucky getting together.

The two families had had a family dinner twice now, and it's like they've known each other their whole life.

It almost seems too perfect to be true.

More studying happens, more unanswered questions, and more longing stares between the duo.

The two of them wanted to have a real conversation about that kiss that happened between them three months ago.

Obviously, they didn't have the gut to do so, though.

Bucky had stopped hanging out with 'the crew.' He started hanging out with Sam, Steve, and Natasha. And sometimes Isabella - if she isn't with Kim -. 

Bucky had some struggles when he started hanging out with them because Steve and Natasha would ignore him.

He didn't care, though, because he had Sam.

It took a while before Bucky, Steve, and Natasha finally got close again.

Jacob and Landon had been dating for four or five months now. It's longer than how Sam and Jacob lasted, but Sam is glad they broke up.

They weren't a great match that much.
