We both entered into the restaurant and directly saw them, sitting in the side on the left. Isabella, Ryan, Drake and Angel was there. Angel was the first to notice us. She looked at me with a smile. I smiled back and winked at her.
She probably got it since she giggled a bit and went on with the flow. They looked like they haven't noticed us since they were just talking and laughing. As we started to walk to them, they started to see someone coming to their table. As I was about two feet away from the table i said in a loud voice, but not enough to disturb most people.
"Hey guy!!! didn't notice us? hahaha!!" I said as we went closer."Oh hey!!! hahaha!!! didn't notice you there!" Isabella replied as she turned from her table to show her full attention toward me. "Oh really? Angel here noticed me." I said while looking at them with a little smile. "Yup! I did!" Angel replied happily. "Of course you did." Drake said while he was trying to think of a good joke, but couldn't come up with anything at all.
"Darn it!! I can't think of anything right now." Drake said. We all laughed for a bit, then Kate and I grabbed our seats and sat down.
"Hey guys! I'm Kate, what're your names?" Kate said slighly shy. "I'm Angel! This is Sheena, Drake, and Karl!" Angel replied with a smile, trying to make a new friend. "Hello Angel...Karl....Sheena....Drake.. Its nice to meet all of you. Kyle's been talking about you guys to me." Kate said with a light chuckle.
"Hey, did we hear right? You've been talking about us? hmm??" Karl said with suspicion clearly in his voice. "What did he say about us?" Sheena asked, wanting to know immediately. "Well...He said you were pretty, and that you're fun to be with. He also said that Karl should smile more. Cause he looks best when he's smiling. a-" Kate was cut off by Angel "Hey! That's what I said!" Angel argued in a playful manner. "Well, yeah, I know. He told me that you first mentioned it and he agreed." Kate politely replied with a smile. "Hey, what did he say about me?" Drake said curiously.
"Oh! he said you liked making jokes. And you're close to beating Will. By the way, where is Will?" She asked as she knows Will is Kyle's best friend. "Oh! He went to Canada to take care of some personal business." Sheena replied.
"Anyway guys, what did you order?" I asked, as I was looking forward to eat. "Truth to be told....We didn't order anything yet. We were all waiting for you! hahaha!" Angel replied with that silly smile you would always see on her.
"Okay. So....What do you want to eat Kate?" I asked her, making sure she was my number one priority. "Well...I'll just have some fried rice. And steamed fish. Some vegetables and fruits would be nice too." Kate said slightly embarrassed for ordering so much for herself "Well? Is that okay with you guys?" I asked them, making sure everyone was okay with Kate's dish. "Yup!" They chorused.
We started eating the appetizer. The steamed fish came out, as well as the rice. And the vegetables and fruits next. But then we later decided that soft drinks and ice cream would be nice. So we did. After the meal, we were all so full. "Wow!!! my stomach hasn't bulged this big since the time my grandmother threw a birthday party!" Angel said aloud.
"Yeah lets go home." I said while standing up and reaching for Kate's hand. She gladly held my hand and we walked home together. "Bye guys!! We really had fun!!" I said while leaving with Kate. "Bye!!!" Sheena, Drake and Karl said. Angel ran up to me "Kyle, can I talk to you for a while?" Angel asked, somewhat bothered. "Sure Angel." I replied, worried of what's bothering her.
"Well, I was just wondering....do you think that...you know..." Angel blushes from embarrassment "Do I think what Angel?" I asked in a caring tone as I gave her a seat to sit on. We both sat down and she started to tell me what was bothering her.
"Well, everytime I see you two together, I kept thinking If..If...you know....If someone will even like me for who I am.." Angel said with sadness in her eyes. "Awww, Angel. I'm sure someone's out there for you. Its just that some are easy to find and some aren't." I said, trying to cheer her up. "Yeah right...Who would want a girl like me?" Angel said, disappointed.
"Angel.." I said as i came over to her and gave her a tight, reassuring hug. "I'm sure you'll find that someone. Trust me. You're a beautiful, fun, kind, caring, and a responsible woman. You're not exactly the 'girly' type of girl...But if you find that person, then he will love you for who you are. He'll respect you. And I'm sure that person out there is looking for you as well.." I begin to hug her tighter as I felt a tear drop from her. "Its not that you aren't good enough. It's just that you need to wait..Angel....Maybe in the right time, okay?" I let her go and wipe her tears away.
She was silent for a while, then I went on with the talk and told her one last thing "You'll find him Angel... I truly believe in that. And I truly believe in you. Just wait for the right time.
She began to smile lightly and starts to talk. "You really think so?" Angel asked, couldn't believe what I have just told her. "Yes. And I don't 'think' Angel.. I know. And it all came from the bottom of my heart." I encouraged her. Making sure she would have more confidence in herself. Kate called me telling me it was very late and she had to go back. "Okay! I'll be there in a minute!" I shouted back.
Angel came to me and hugged me. saying "Thank you..soo much.." I hugged her back saying "Anytime Angel. Just tell me okay?" I said, making sure that she has someone to be open to. "Okay. But promise not to tell anyone about that, okay?" She said with eyes telling me if I messed up, she would live in a life of misery. "I promise." And with that, we both waved goodbye to each other.
I walked Kate back to the appartment and gave her a kiss on the cheek. We waved goodbye and I went back home. As soon as I got home, I immediately took a half bath, and changed my clothes. Then go back to sleep. Angel was on my mind for a while. After all, one night out, and you have a ton of drama. But it's fine. She's my best friend, so I'm willing to put up with any of this. Even if it's everyday. I prayed for Angel, and for her protection, and went to sleep.
