Having read your other entry in the MMM Awards as well, I can confidently say that I really enjoy how you do your prologues! They always make me really excited to start the story and meet those characters again.

This is one of my favorite concepts I've seen in awhile! I love the blend of spy and supernatural, I'm really excited to see how the plot unfurls.

I really enjoyed the characters/different POVs, especially the family dynamic of the Scotts. Especially little Aurelie! She's so cute and small and I'm excited to see how her character adapts to the situation the family is in. I also found Jane-Anne to be a totally sweetheart. I'm also very excited to see just how this whole monster thing plays out, and who the real monsters are.

There were a couple areas your grammar could be improved, but it didn't detract too much from the story for me. :)

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and how you've brought it to life. I think you have a great writing style, and it's been wonderful getting to read your stories for these awards!

If you would like to see specific examples/receive help in any of the following categories (up to two), I will go back through your story and point out up to five instances of where I thought this took place (if applicable):
- Dialogue tag punctuation errors
- Capitalization errors

In second place with a score of 41.5/50, we have:

I really enjoyed this story! I could relate very much to the protagonist: her social awkwardness, studious, and a strict upbringing grades-wise endeared me to her right away. I was relieved to be following someone like her around a college campus, she reminds me of past me. I wish I could've found someone like her to be friends with at that age. I would be excited to continue following Grace on her journey and seeing where she ends up as a person.

There's nothing quite special about the plot or concept to me, but I don't think there needs to be. Some stories are just fun to follow, even if you've seen a lot of the components before.

A lot of the dialogue and characters felt natural. I'm still curious as to what the handsome stranger was going to ask!

Overall, I really enjoyed this one, and hope I get the chance to continue reading. Thank you so much for entering my awards! I hope you're proud of what you've accomplished.

Side note: I find the 'Poon' surname or middle name the main character has to be very unfortunate. It's a quite dirty slang term in America. :(

The runner-up story with a score of 40/50 is:

This book was challenging for me to read, but I enjoyed it overall! It's a well-written story. :)

The separation from religious childhood theme is strong and instantly set me on edge. Fortunately, I think such a sensitive topic was attempted to be handled thoughtfully throughout the story. I can understand why Aspen struggles with/left her faith. This books discusses a lot of important and realistic life events, which is no easy feat nor easy reading. There was the occasional line where I disagreed with how the Christian faith was presented, although I admit I cannot speak for every denomination nor does every (or perhaps, most) Christian get it right. There were also sometimes characters did and said things I disagreed with, which is normal, but happened to be about hot-button issues. It's hard for me to see this story in a clear light because of how many tough and emotional topics it tackles so quickly. From my perspective, the books might turn off readers because of all this, but by no means does this mean you have to change what you've written to be more palatable to a general audience.

I enjoyed Jude's character, not so much Aspen's. The biggest thing I don't like about her is how easily tempted she is by a man she's just met. Since her and her husband have had such a sweet relationship, I resent her for seeming like she would cheat on her spouse with a stranger. I don't feel there's enough extenuating circumstances for this to feel understandable. All in all, the characters do feel like realistic people. Her parents are flat, but I believe that's more because children see their parents that way more than a lack of effort of the writer's part.

Very few grammatical errors! It is written in British English and not American English, so at times that tripped me up a bit.

Overall, I felt it was evident the writer put a lot of thought and effort into this story. I'm glad to have experienced part of this story, even if it's not written for people that see the world the way I do. Keep up the great work! People seem to really love and appreciate what you do. :)
