The last thing I remember is Angelica hitting me in the chest, followed by a loud beeping noise and I could swear I heard Dr.Fritz yelling something about psychos and doing it herself. I do know right now, I can't breath in all the way and when I do, it feels like my lungs are going to pop. I've tried lifting my arm so I could cover my eyes from the blinding sun so I can actually see my surroundings. At least I know I'm outside instead of that hell where I was left alone with the first person I've ever wanted to skin alive.
So, I laid there for hours. Not moving a single muscle. Eventually the sun goes down and I open my eyes to find that I've been laying in the middle of the woods for hours. It took everything I had in me to stand up, the excruciating pain flowed through every inch of me. Finally standing, I took a moment to analyze myself. My hair had been left alone, my jeans were ripped by some kind of claws and so had my shirt. My feet were bloody and all of my clothes were now stained red with dried blood. I wiped my hands off on my jeans and propped myself up against the closest tree I could find.
Not only am I adopted but the only people who ever wanted me in life couldn't give a crap less about me. I don't see or feel my phone at all. I've been left to die. Not even my own doctor cares about me.
I inhaled the biggest breath I could take and looked up at the pale moon, a stray tear rolling down my face before I chased it with the palm of my hand. Crying is for the weak and right now... I can't afford to be weak. So I did the only thing I could think of; I started limping through the forest. Searching for anything that hinted at any signs of life.
With my vision still blurry, I tripped over a few logs, tree stumps, and rocks. I would catch myself just in time every single time but I would make a pretty loud whimpering noise on accident. The only sounds I could hear were the shuffling of my own feet and the soft whimpers every time I would move too fast.
I had made it far enough to where I could hear a waterfall, I don't know if I had hit my head when I stumbled but I do know that I had just had my shot and there was no way in hell I was already hearing things again, so I started my way towards the sound. Sure enough, after a good ten-ish minutes, I had found an opening in the woods. It had a small open field with a waterfall fed pond.
I needed to clean this blood off of me before I attracted any animals so I sat down on the edge of the pond, grabbed the bottom of my shirt, and just as soon as I was about to lift my shirt over my head I heard a low growl come from behind me. Maybe it wasn't the right thing to do but I was working with dulled senses and a seemingly broken body. I hurled myself into the water. My feet didn't touch the bottom so I had to kick my legs and move my arms to stay afloat but it was the absolute worst pain I had ever felt in my life. The water wasn't helping at all. The freezing cold liquid added to the pain I was already in. I screamed out in agony with everything I had left in my, grasping onto the side of the pond. I grabbed ahold of a sharp rock that sliced through the skin on my fingers, causing me to wince in pain and retract my hand back to my chest.
"Just kill me!!" I looked for the source of the sound only to be met with a pair of golden glowing eyes in the trees. The beast responded with another low growl that sent shivers down my spine. That only led me to piss it off some more. I didn't have anywhere to go, no one to talk to, no schooling left, and I'm pretty sure I no longer had a job. Even if I did I knew a few people wanted me dead for being a burden to them. I was trapped between a rock and a hard place. If I screamed for help, no one was coming. I couldn't call for help. I didn't have any belongings anymore. I had nothing. Except the warm embrace of death. Anything was better than this endless pain and suffering I was faced against with no end in sight other than this beast in front of me.
It stepped into the field, growling only for a few seconds each time. I noticed it wince every time it stepped on it's front left paw. The wolf was the biggest one I had ever laid eyes on, solid black other than its back right white paw and it was without a doubt male. The beast crept closer and closer by the second until it was standing over me, it's nose right above mine, where it stood still for a while. I'm not scared to die but before I do, I should return a favor to the beast who was going to quickly end this pain for me.
I reached out with my bloodied hand and grabbed the wolfs paw. He lifted it for me. I guess you would when you're faced with a prey that is completely harmless compared to you. That's when I felt a sharp prick hit my palm. "You've got a thorn in your paw, big guy." I forced the best smile I could, it was weak and my body was slowly getting colder and colder. Probably from the loss of blood. My finger was pouring out my bodies life source like it wanted the same thing I did. I had already soaked his paw so I reached out with my other hand and quickly pulled the thorn from it before I collapsed and fell back into the water, my lungs quickly filling with the cold liquid. This was it. I was finally free of this burden.
As my body slowly gave in to the welcomed feeling, I gazed at the moon. It was the biggest and brightest one I had ever seen, the sky flaked with millions of stars so the moon wouldn't get lonely. That made me happy.
