Chapter 13: Surprise!

Xiao wakes up early in the morning to go get some more gifts for Lumine. He goes shopping for an hour then comes back and sets up the gifts. "Morning Paimon!"
"Morning!"
Lumine hands some Sticky Honey Rost to Paimon. "Let's eat on the go this time."
Paimon and Lumine eat as they walk to their apartment. "Hmm? What's this?"
Lumine picks up a piece of paper and a key that was sitting outside her door.

"Dear Lumine,

Hello, it's Xiao. I noticed you have been running low on mora lately so I bought us a room. I hope you don't mind. Don't worry about the price I'm paying for it. The key that is with the letter is your room key. Our room number is #18. I will be there shortly after you see you soon!

Love, Xiao"

Lumine smiles and turns around to head for room #18. "Follow me Paimon."
Lumine opens the door to room #18 and walks in. "Hello?"
She turns on the light and notices a gift basket on the bed with a note next to it. She picks up the note and reads it. 

"Dear Lumine,

I hope you like this surprise! All the items in the basket are items I thought you might enjoy. You might be wondering why I did this well the reason is. I love you. What other reason do I have? Honestly, you are perfect, your eyes sparkle brightly, your hair has a golden glow, but it's not just your beauty that makes me love you! Your determination to find your brother is amazing! And your brave too! All I'm trying to say is 'I love you.'

Love, Xiao
By the way, turn around "

Lumine turns around and sees Xiao standing with a shy smile. "Xiao!"
Lumine runs up to Xiao and hugs him. "Do you wanna look at your gifts?"
Lumine nods her head and jumps onto the bed. Lumine starts by pulling out a plushie. The plushie had long blond hair pulled back into a brain and golden eyes. Lumine feels her eyes tearing up. "X-Xiao-I-t-thank you s-so much!"
Xiao sits behind Lumine and hugs her waist while she looks at the plushie. Lumine reaches into the basket and pulls out a chocolate bar. "Golden House Bar?"
"Remember when you told me about that honey and caramel chocolate bar that you had in your hometown? This was the closest thing I could find to it."
"Awe thanks I can't believe you remembered!"
Lumine reaches into the basket and pulls out an outfit. She holds it up and looks at its design. "Oh. My. Xiao! How did you!? W-What!? Thanks!"
"Its Pajamas based off of your brother's outfit."
Lumine runs to the bathroom to get changed. She slides off her regular outfit and slides on her new Pj's.  "Xiao?"
Lumine looks at Xiao who was staring down at an item in a tiny box. "Whats that?'
Xiao jumps and shoves the box into his pocket. "O-Oh it's nothing!"
"Hmmm."
Lumine runs to the mirror and draws her sword. "I look just like Aether!"
Lumine starts doing poses and acting like her brother.

Lumine runs back to the basket and continues to pull out items. "I think that's everything!"
"Oh wait there is one more thing!"
Xiao pulls a long black box out of his pocket and hands it to Lumine. "Here."
Lumine opens the box and takes out a necklace. "It says 'XiaoLumi' you know like, our names merged together."
"You like it right? No, it's fine you don't like it I can take It back!"
Xiao reaches for the necklace but Lumine stops him. "Xiao, calm down it's perfect."
Lumine hands the necklace to Xiao and he puts it on her. Xiao watches a giant smile appear on her face. Xiao lays back and closes his eyes. Lumine sits between his legs and lays back on Xiao's stomach. Xiao plays with Lumine's hair while she eats one of her chocolate bars. She breaks off a piece and puts it into Xiao's mouth. After finishing her chocolate bar she closes her eyes and relaxes. "Xiao?"
"Hmm?"
"You wanna go on a walk?"
"Sure."
Lumine gets up and changes back into her normal clothes. She grabs Xiao's hand and they walk to Liyue Harbor.

"Qiqi remembers you."
"Hi, Klee."
Klee smiles brightly at Qiqi. "Who is this?"
"This is Qiqi's friend Tuecer."
"Oh! Hi, Tuecer I'm Klee!" 
Tuecer smiles at klee. "Nice to meet you, Klee!"
"Have you guys met Lumine yet?"
Qiqi and Tuecer nod their heads. "Do you guys like her?"
"Yes! My big brother, Ajax likes her too! I said to him that they would be a nice couple!"
"What!? No! My big brother Albedo likes her way more! He even asked her to be his WindBloom Date!"
"Qiqi doesn't have a big brother. But Xiao is very strong and likes Lumine very much. He even kisses her. I think they should get married."
"Huh!?"
Teucer and Klee stare at Qiqi. "No way he kisses her!"
"Yeah! She likes Ajax, not Xiao!"
Klee shakes her head. "No, she likes Albedo!"
"Lumine."
Qiqi runs up to Lumine who is holding Xiao's hand. "What are you kids arguing about?"
"Qiqi thinks you like Xiao! And Klee thinks you like Albedo. But I know you like Ajax!"
Lumine turns red. "Teucer we all know she likes Albedo! Right, Miss. Honourary Knight?"
"I-uh!"
Qiqi tugs on Lumines dress. "Qiqi thinks you like Xiao."
Klee and Teucer shake their heads. "She does not like Xiao!"
Xiao looks at the kids wonder what to do. He knows for a fact the Lumine is feeling uncomfortable. "Uhh Lumine?"
Lumine turns to Xiao. "Y-Yeah?"
Xiao leans in and kisses her on the cheek. "Ehh!?"
Lumine turns bright red not expecting this action. "What!?"
"Xiao! You can't kiss her she likes Ajax!"
Xiao sighs realizing his plan didn't work. "Teucer I'm back!"
"Big brother! This guy right here is trying to steal your girl!"
Childe looks at Xiao and the flustered Lumine. "Uhh, Teucer."
Teucer nods his head. "Xiao and Lumine are d-d-dating"
Childe stutters on the word not wanting to admit the Xiao had won Lumines heart. "What!? But then why do you like her!?"
Childe turns red and grabs Teucer's hand. "Sorry about that Lumine."
Childe and Teucer walk away. "Poor Albedo! He really likes you!"
Klee smiles. "I'm happy for you though!"
"Hey Klee, what are you doing here?"
"Oh, I'm here with Albedo for the Lantern Rite!"
Lumine looks at Xiao who is looking to the side with a slightly angry expression.
"Uh oh," Lumine thinks to herself. "This will be good."

Hey guys! Sorry it took sooooo long for me to put out a new chapter I have been at a place with no wifi for 4 days. Although i enjoyed the mental break I'm glad to be back!
