❂Chaper 4: A Great day out❂

Tapping on the windowsill you were completely bored out of your mind, all there was to see were bundles of trees looming menacingly over the bus on either side, the tarmac where the bus was driving and a clear, non-polluted baby blue sky with the occasional clouds floating past like boats. The smell of fresh pines filled your senses with the occasional sweet aroma of potent flowers and berries of all kinds. You let out a sigh of tiredness and boredom until you noticed an old water tower come into view alongside a sign displaying the words "Welcome to Gravity Falls!"

'finally about time!'

You thought to yourself as you couldn't help a slight smile growing onto your face. You were here, you finally arrived. Suddenly as if on cue the butterflies, your stomach began doing summersaults and backflips, making you feel queasy to the core, were you truly ready to be back here?

Shaking your head slightly to clear your conscience you felt the bus jerk to a halt signifying to you that this was your stop, the last stop. Getting up and stretching slightly you grabbed your suitcases with weary excitement and stepped off the bus.

Letting out a tired yawn you glanced around before crossing the road from where you stood and started down the pavement in the direction that Google maps were telling you to in hopes that the so-called "mystery shack" would come into view.

It had only been a few minutes until the shack finally came into view as you spotted the two twins chatting to one another on the doorstep, no doubt waiting for you to show up, a wide smile spread across your face as you came into their view. Dipper who was the first to notice your arrival, grinned happily at you whilst waving. Mabel who turned to see what Dipper was waving at faced your direction before audibly gasping and ran towards you with eager anticipation before engulfing you into a tight bear hug causing you to cling back onto her to avoid getting decked to the ground. You stumbled backwards as she released you from her death trap to notice Dipper had walked up to join you guys,

"You finally made it, safe travels?"

Dipper asked out of kind courtesy,
You nodded and engulfed him into a hug just like Mabel had done, before taking a step back and observing how much they've grown from the last time you guys actually met face to face,

"Wow, you guys have grown up so much!"

You commented to which Mabel replied,

"Uh-huh! I'm still taller than dipstick though! By a whole 2 inches!!"

"MABEL!!"

Dipper complained, clearly insecure about his height,

"Don't worry about it Dipper, I may not be the tallest either but we both know we can easily outsmart marbles over her"

You joked back, giggling slightly as Mabel huffed,

"Whatever nerds! Anyways y/n we'll show you to your room then we're going to go get breakfast okay? Good!"

She stated, not giving you time to reply before grabbing your hand and pulling you along inside the mystery shack, giving you a few seconds to quickly grab hold of your luggage before entering.

"Hey guys, meet our cousin, y/n!"

She announced, you took a moment to take in your surroundings, they weren't kidding when they called it a shack, but where you were standing looked like a gift shop of some kind. By the till was a red-haired lady with a green checkered jacket,
