"Enough about that old man, what type of cake did you got? Vanilla? Chocolate? I'm bloody starving over here!"

You giggled, over exaggerating on purpose to lighten the mood as the pair of you join the others in the kitchen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~10pm~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dipper and Mabel had finished your slices of pizza that Stan had ordered alongside the birthday cake and had headed upstairs to your separate rooms like being friends in an apartment block. Parting ways and wishing everyone a goodnight you entered your room. Carefully tucking your empty suitcase underneath your bed to avoid tripping over it in the future, you then grabbed the fairy lights you'd pulled out before putting away the suitcase.
Climbing up and leaning over your bed you managed to fix it just about the window which was already emitting a silvery glow from the moon. You stepped down and turned off your main light in the process and watched as your room darkened but lit up enough to see your surroundings a bit better from the warm glow of the fairy lights. They were perfect and brought the room together just a bit to feel more home-like. Opening your drawer where your clothes were neatly folded and picked out some pyjamas to change into for bed.
Or
You let out a sigh as you fell back and submerged yourself onto the bed. Today had been unexpected and as you tossed and turned in your bed your mind wandered carelessly. Your dad was back and a small part of you was glad he was alive and safe. You could call it the more sympathetic inner child of you. The other side? I was confused and angry. Puzzled as to how he created something so paranormal and magically dangerous. The raging side was beyond pissed for being so neglectful back then.
Would he still be the same? It seemed like it and yet you were still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. You groaned under your breath, having spent the last 45 mins tossing and turning in a desperate attempt to fall asleep. Unfortunately overthinking had caught the better of you, it was clear and obvious that your brain wasn't going to stop until you could achieve answers to them.
Rolling over and out of bed, you carefully crept as silently as you can. To the hallway, take a moment to slowly shut your door behind you to avoid any loud thuds or creaking so you wouldn't alert anyone to your liveliness. Using the dim light of your phone, you traversed through the hallway, past the twins bedrooms and down the stairs. Taking a moment to breathe once safely on the ground floor as you had held it the moment you crept past the doors.
Safely at the bottom you drew your attention to the mystery vending machine,  punching in the same code as what ford had done earlier. You watched in silence as the secret door jutted to life and  opened giving way to a passageway it was hiding. Quickly glancing around you as if to double check you weren't followed and no one was watching, you disappeared down the stairs. The soft glow of a light illuminated your view as you reached the last step, as the smell of burnt mental and harsh chemicals filled your scent.
Scrunching your nose up in slight disgust you pushed forwards, entering the lab. The place was a mess to say the least, take away food wrappers and to go cups littered the floors and countertops alongside various stain marks in abnormally bright funky colours. The counters and shelves were a mess with technical science equipment and multiple books scattered around carelessly.
"Aren't you supposed to be in bed, young lady?"
A tired gruff voice snapped you out of your thoughts as your eyes landed on the back of a lab chair. How did he know you were there? He didn't turn around or move an inch. It wasn't like you knocked anything over or made a noise, afterall your other nickname was 'mouse' afterall. Was it a parent's intuition?
"What project are you working on this time for you to be staying up this late?"
You queried, with an underlying cold tone to your voice that was barely noticeable.
"A better question is why are you awake? Or rather why are you here, in my lab?"
He ignored your question, vaguely glancing back in your direction before turning his attention back to his desk as he spoke up.
"You made your point evidently clear earlier."
He remarked, tinkering with one of his devices. Was he upset with you? After everything he had done and he acts as though You're to blame? You took a breath.
"I couldn't sleep, I need answers from you.."
You stayed truthful and remained calm. You sat up on an island counter, kicking your legs absentmindedly like what a small child would do. Staring at the messy floor your anxiety began to rise up inside of you, pondering if this was a good idea or not. You were unable to look at  him or his direction, fiddling with your fingers as your nerves got the better of you.
Ford remained silent for a good few seconds before turning to face you, his hands linked together.
"I suppose it is the least I can do.."
He muttered barely loud enough for you to hear.you had so many questions swarming your head, you weren't sure how to begin. Finally after taking a breath to calm your nerves and clear your head you spoke.
"What happened to you, when you went missing?"
"I.."
Ford trailed off unsure of what to say considering even if he did have a proper explanation he'd  just as crazy as anyone in a looney bin (an insane asylum)
"I did some things I'm not…I'm not proud of, I've created dangerous things…made some really powerful enemies"
He wavered for a second then spoke once more,
"That portal you can see to your left? It was created by me and an old college friend of mine because it could explain all the weird abnormalities and sightings everyone has seen. However I needed more help and that came. I'm an evil, all knowing demon, in return for helping me with the portal he backstabbed me. That portal had malicious intentions from that demon. With it he could bring about the end of the word as we know it. Weirdmageddon.
You were stunned, who was that demon? And why did he betray your dad?
