"oi! takemichi-kun! where are you?" hitoka yelled, trying to summon takemichi. he messaged her a few hours before telling her to meet him. he wasn't there, and hitoka was growing more annoyed by the second.
"that little shit! i dragged my ass all the way here just for him to ditch me," she angrily muttered under her breath, "when i get my hands on that little crybaby-"
hitoka's self-pity was cut off when she heard someone laughing at her. turning around, she saw a group of delinquents. their leader asked her, "are you takemichi's little bitch?"
the way he smirked at hitoka made her heartbeat dangerously fast. kiyomasa noticed her breathing quickened, and he felt pleasure in seeing her like a deer caught in the headlights, with no way to fend for herself.
hitoka could only try to appear bigger, stronger.
she knew it wasn't working. the sinister look in kiyomasa's eyes was just like takemichi described, ready to kill. her nerves made her feel like her head was going to explode. somehow, to hitoka, this was worse than facing her own father.
she refused to back off. she owed that to takemichi.
"what did you do to him?" hitoka finally spoke, trying to steady her voice.
stepping closer, kiyomasa bent to her level and gave her another sinister smile, "he is over there, lying in a pool of his own blood."
snapping her head around, trying to get a glimpse of takemichi's battered body, hitoka made a fatal mistake. as soon as she turned around, kiyomasa was getting ready to swing at her. forcefully hitting her in the ribs with his bat, kiyomasa and his group let out one last laugh, acting like it was the funniest thing ever.
she cried out in pain but refused to give him the satisfaction. he could intimidate her all he wanted, but when it came to pain, hitoka took it like a champ.
"you like hitting girls assholes?" she was silenced by kiyomasa bringing his bat closer to her face.
"this is my last warning, sweetcheeks," kiyomasa said, "don't get involved with the gang business, or you are going to regret it."
he and his goonies turned around and left, finally letting the girl breathe.
when she was sure they were no longer there, and the throbbing of her ribs stopped slightly, hitoka picked herself up in hopes of finding takemichi. according to kiyomasa, he is near. since she already came here and took a swing for him, she might as well look a little more.
what she didn't know was that kisaki tetta had been watching the whole exchange. hidden behind a tree, he was already plotting his next move. hitoka was important to takemichi, and kisaki knew that. takemichi took hinata away from him. in return, kisaki would take away a person important to takemichi, hitoka.

"michi-kun! takemichi!" he heard hitoka calling for him after waking up from his slumber, courtesy of kiyomasa. painfully rolling to his back and inhaling a large amount of air, he shouted, "over here!"
