Haises pov (a/n the entire ch is in his pov)

I moved around the roots dodging the kagune that managed not to get trapped when I heard Ms. shiami

"Guys a demon is feeding off the roots!" Shiami yelled when I flinched at the demon nearing himself to Yukio and reached over

"What?!" Yukio's eyes widened when I shoved him out of the trap "haise!" He said when I noticed the ghouls starting to escape

Shit

I looked around at the group of 10 ghouls as I flinched as one began to cut his arm open

[summoning]

He's summoning another one?! 

[demon growling]

I flinched at the demons behind me and jumped away only for a kagune to hit me into the cement wall as I felt my rib crack slightly

[gunshots]

I heard Yukio attempting to shoot at the demons as I stared at shiamis summon still holding the root trap up

I can't let her put the blockade down...if she puts it down now with me being hurt and no other CCG members around they could charge right for the both of them

I looked to the ghouls charging at me as I flinched and managed to dodge two of their kagune only for a third one to stab my shoulder

"Ack" I let out

"Shiami put the barrier down," Yukio said

"No!" I yelled when I hit the ghouls away with my kagune as I managed to kill one "I have to deal with the ghouls first" I panted

"You'll get yourself killed with the demons in there too!" Yukio snarled

There are 9 ghouls still alive...and 2 demons I need to watch out for

[sigh]

I felt the ghouls charge at me again as I jumped out of the way

[growling]

"haise!" I heard Yukio yell as I turned my head slightly to see one of the demons behind me as it slashed my back with its claws

"Tch" I snarled when I lost my footing and crashed into the floor "agh!" I screamed at the burning sensation as my healing tried to kick in

[flames burst]

"Oi!" I heard Rins voice when I looked to see him on the other side of the barrier "put the barrier down"

"No, rin," I said as I tried to stand "there's too many of them"

"Put it down...shiami" rin said when I flinched as I saw shirazu and Saiko walk up behind him too

I watched the barrier disappear when the ghouls began to charge out at the others
