The sunset girl had hair
The color of a sweet orange
And whenever she walked past me
She would leave behind the scent of citrus
Her eyes were large, a gorgeous Caribbean blue
And only grew whenever she looked at anything incredible
Including me
The sunset girl would ride her bike
Passing a rainbow of flower fields
And the greenest of leaves
Never being able to stay put
Even though I wanted her to be
Even though she rode off into the orange-blue sunset
Leaving me behind
I can still smell the sweet scent of citrus
And her large gorgeous mess of eyes Looking at mine
