Indiana, Indianapolis
I arrive at my grandmothers house as the officers and cop cars were all surrounding it. I stepped out my car as I look around as my grandmother was worried as she approached me. "Dyland what is all this?" She asked me as the sheriff made his way towards us. His badge name read Brock. He stood about 6 feet and was a dark skinned man with a bald head. "Dyland Moragany, Cpd believes you killed Jericho Almeida." He says as he looks around as his fellow officers were behind him. "But between you and me I don't really much care. I just came by to let you know as long as your in Indianapolis you watch your steps. You step on my toes and it won't end well for you. These my streets and if bodies start coming up I won't hesitate to pin them all on you." Brock says to me as I want to size him up but the last thing I need right now is a cop breathing down my spine.
"Yes sir." I say trying to make him leave sooner than later. "One more thing. I don't care how many people you killed down there. Or who you beefin with. Remember this. There's nothing worse than a dirty cop who doesn't choose sides." He tells me as he turns his heels as the rest of the men follow. Great. Now I got to watch out for this guy too.
"If you were a real man of the law you'd arrest him." A white woman with brunette hair says as she mugs me. She was a officer as well as Brock looked at her annoyingly. "If I were a real man of the law I'd shoot him right in his fucking face right now. Excuse my partner she doesn't know when to stay in a woman's place sometimes. Let's go." Brock says as the woman rolls her eyes and proceeds to enter the passenger seat as Brock got into the drivers side.
Just as they came they were gone.
"Mama I came as fast as I could when I saw the police were headed your direction." A familiar voice said as he got out the car. What the fuck? It was my dad. "Graham baby. My son." My grandma says all happy and excited as she hugs him. "Hey son." My father says to me as I couldn't believe this shit. "I thought you lived in Texas." I said almost aggressively. "I live near your sister down here." He tells me as he approaches me extending his arms out for a hug.
Now I don't know if you guys remember? But the last time me and my father saw each other I was in the hospital and we were trying to kill each other.
"Dyland last year... I was in the wrong and I'm sorry for how I treated you. I shouldn't have been that way towards you. Especially as your father. I made you who you are... I've been in therapy almost a year now after we fought. I'm sorry son. Truly." He tells me as I nod my head accepting his apology as I hug my father for the first time ever in my 22 years of living.
"Since your down here we should catch up?" My father suggests as we separated. I get a text message from Cashay as I looked down at my phone. "Not today dad... I got some things to take care of." I told him as he puts his hand on my shoulder. "Calvin told me you and Audrey beefin bad? Tell me that's not true." My dad looks at me with concern in his eyes. "Audrey killed someone I cared about." I tell him as he shakes his head. "What do you plan on doing to your cousin Dyland?" He asks me as my grandma looks at me confused and concerned as well. "I'm going to kill him." I said cold and clearly.
"Family don't kill family." My father says as I shake his words off. "All the times you tried to kill me." I say under my breath. "I may have beaten you... but I was never going to kill you son." He said as I walk away not even wanting to hear his shit anymore. "Doctor Tipton. You should go see her Dyland. You need help." He nearly shouts as I was already gone and in my car.
