23 days after the snap, Sapphire was still in shock, seeing Bucky slipped right through her fingers.
She hasn't spoken nor cried. Steve and Natasha were worried for her since. Her steel eyes were empty, expression void from her face as she moved stoically.
Sapphire was numb. She couldn't feel anything still, days after the only person she ever loved vanished in front of her.
"Do you want anything to drink or eat?" Steve asked her cautiously.
Sapphire just looked at him with no emotions before she stared in the living room blankly.
Steve sighed going to the kitchen where Natasha sat.
"She needs to eat or at least drink something," Natasha told Steve while looking at the white head person.
The furniture started to shake. Steve, Natasha, Bruce, and Rhodey walked out of the yard.
Thor looked at the lady who sat still with him in the room, "Who did you lose?"
Sapphire shifted her empty gaze from the air to him. Her hand began to release currents on the arm of the chair she's sitting on.
She badly needed to feel something, but she's immune to her abilities.
Thor didn't bother to talk again while they both looked out of the large windows, seeing a spacecraft being carried by a glowing woman.
They both watched Tony and a blue lupholoid walkout. Steve ran to Tony to help him stand up as Tony gripped Steve's arm, "Couldn't stop him."
Sapphire read their mouths as they converse.
"Neither could I," Steve replied.
"I lost the kid," Tony told him weakly.
"Tony, we lost."
"Is, uh...?" Tony struggled to ask when an auburn woman embraced him, "Oh, my God! Oh, my God!"
Sapphire looked away from the couple, seeing Rocket and the blue woman hold hands, silently mourning.
They all entered the living room. Tony was sitting in a wheelchair, an IV attached to him.
A holographic casualty report listed the names and faces of those lost to the snap.
Sapphire stood up and walked past Tony, seeing Bucky's picture.
She stared at it, hovering her finger over the hologram as everyone looked worried, expecting her to lash out, but she remained quiet.
The picture shifted to another person, making her step back.
"It's been 23 days since Thanos came to Earth," Rhodey started hesitantly.
"World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census. And it looks like he did... he did exactly what he said he was gonna do. Thanos wiped out fifty percent of all living creatures," Natasha said.
"Where is he now? Where?" Tony asked.
Steve replied, leaning on the table, "We don't know. He just opened a portal and walked through."
"What's wrong with him?" Tony pointed to Thor, who has a sullen face while sitting on a bench, seemingly deep in thought.
"Oh, he's pissed. He thinks he failed," Rocket answered. "Which of course he did, but you know there's a lot of that's going around, ain't there?"
