Matt Zalanski is the sports all star, most popular guy at Portland High School, the Quarterback of the football team, and of course Marissa Rivera's boyfriend. Marissa is the most popular girl and the head of the cheer leading squad. Your typical high school power couple.

Matt is hosting the party and invited all soon-to-be Juniors. This party is going to be the last one for the summer. School starts in exactly 4 days, including tonight. Matt's mom is an attorney and his dad is a doctor so he has a pretty big house.

When we get to the driveway the music is booming and couples are already making out on the balconies.

"We'll be fine don't worry!" Sam has to yell over the music, but she says it oh so assuringly. She has her hand rested on my shoulder until we go through the door.

I'm touchin' you tonight.

I'm lovin' you tonight.

Wait no.

I'm f*ckin you tonight

Girl you must be used to spendin'

Puttin' in that time

Touchin', Lovin', F*ckin'

Can't make up my mind

The music is blasting so loud I might be deaf by the end of the night.

"Hey girlssss! If you want..." his head falls to the side but he continues. "I can take you in the bathroom! I think it's empty!" The drunk guy who would normally be an innocent nerd is speaking so slurred that we can barely understand him.

"Not today Boo. Maybe another time." Sam winks at him as we easily brush past him.

I turn her around as soon as I'm sure we are out of his view. "What was that!? What did you mean by next time?" I stare at my best friend in disbelief.

"He didn't come back did he?" She turns her head and twirls her hair on her index finger like an innocent little girl. "Now that's how you get rid of a drunk son of a gun. So! We need to dance, have fun and get drunk!"

We each went to the table and grabbed some punch. It was spikes with alcohol. First we chugged down a cup each. As soon as our cups were empty, we went to the dance floor, aka the living room.

Cause she loves the attention

She gettin' when she moves, yeah

Showing out with her home girls

Hypnotizing all the dudes, oh

She knows (she knows, she knows, she knows)

She knows (she knows, she knows, she knows)

We sway our hips to the on-going music. Dancing and only stopping to drink.

Right when I feel like resting, I feel a pair of firm hands land on my hips swaying along with me. So I back up against whoever it is. We both move smoothly together, never giving each other space. Fitting together like perfect puzzle pieces. We dance like this for another 20 minutes or so.

When I turn around it's not because I want to but because he turns me around.

When I look up to the guy who has been holding on to me, I'm breathless. But I have never seen him in Portland before.

"Hey, Beautiful." He says with his angelic voice.

"H-hey."

"What do you think about leaving this place so that we can be alone."

I obviously don't know what I'm doing when I say, "um, yeah, sure. What do you have in mind?"
