chapter 6 meet the pride

No one's POV 

Louise could barely contain his excitement. He was going to be adopted into Simba and Nala's pride. There were no words to describe how happy he was. But before he could be welcomed into the pride, he had to go through something very important in the eyes of a lion. 

 Louise's POV

 Louise sat there in the floor still leaning up against Nala's stomach. He was going to try and stand up but before he could Sarabi walked up to him with a massive grin on her face that made him very confused. 

 Louise: "Sarabi what are you doing I thought you wanted me to meet the rest of the pride?" He said in a confused voice. Sarabi only leaned forward getting even closer to his face. 

 Sarabi: "Well yes I did say we needed to introduce you to the pride but, then I noticed how dirty you are. And we can't have you meeting everyone like this now can we." She said with a smile. 

 Louise: "What are you talking about."And just as if someone called out to her Nala stood up and walked over to Simba's side. And the Louise noticed that both her and Simba were giggling. Seeing the made Louise become a little bit fearful. He then looked back at Sarabi.

 Louise: "Sarabi you're starting to scare me." He said in a fearful tone. Without saying a word Sarabi leaned forward putting her head closer to his face. Louise shut his eyes. And waited for whatever horrible thing was going to happen. But he waited for a split second then he felt something wet and rough going across his face. He opened his eyes and was meet with Sarabi's smiling face.

 Louise: "What was that?" He said with complete confusion.

 Sarabi: "What, did you think I was going to hurt you." She said with a chuckle. 

 Louise: "Well y-yes I-I thought you were." He said staring at her.  Sarabi just chuckled along with Simba and Nala in the back round. This once again left Louise completely confused on what was going on. Then Sarabi leaned forward and licked him on the left side of his head then did the same to the right side of his head. That is when he realized that Lions bathed themselves and their young by licking. After realizing this he quickly calmed down and allowed Sarabi to continue with her bath. He also noticed that Simba and Nala had left the room. 

 Louise: "W-whe-re d-id -N-ala an-d Si-mba-ba g-o." He tried to say in between her licking him. Sarabi stopped giving him a bath so she could answer 

 Sarabi: "They went to gather the pride together so they all could to meet you at once." She said with a smile.

 Louise: "O ok." He said with a little bit of nervousness. Sarabi was about to resume his bath but, quickly caught on to his worried tone and was quick to reassure him he would be fine. 

Sarabi: "Its ok little one everyone is going to like you I promise." She said with a reassuring tone. 

 Louise: "Really you think so." He said looking up at her. 

 Sarabi: "Yes little one once they all hear of what you did for Nala and her unborn cub, they will love you." She said with a smile. This seemed to work on Louise as he calmed down. 

Once he did Sarabi resumed his bath. After a few more minutes. Sarabi was finally satisfied with her work and stood up and placed herself beside him and motioned for him to stand up while using her as a support. Louise looked up at her and nodded in understanding her gesture. Sarabi knelt down so, he could place his hands on her back for support. Carefully pushing down on her back Louise slowly stood up. Though his body had some moments of pain going thru his arm and legs. After a few seconds Sarabi stood to her full height with Louise leaning against her side. She then started walking out of the room and into the other room. But before they entered the next room Sarabi looked over to him and spoke up.
