Chapter 23

Arya Kanna

"What the hell is happening here?" A rough voice, heard from behind me.  I saw Akash's face haunted.

I was scared to turn around see who was that.  That's a male voice though, I thought we both were get caught by our parents.  But we both know our parents voices so that doesn't be our parents.  And I had no choice but to turn back and see for myself because Akash seems like he has already gave up, his eyes was on the ground like he was embarrased.

Max?

What is he doing here?  And there stands behind him Alexa, crossing her hands, eyes fixed on me.    Thank god, that's just them.  If this scene was ulta where with our parents we both were dead by now, and they already would arrange a funeral for us.

I couldn't stop myself from my curiosity.  But I told myself to keep calm and just make your seat sit and mind your own business.  Even though I was sitting I couldn't stop thinking about why Akash called her to terrace and when I looked up there was no lights either.  What if he pushes her off from there?  What the_? Why am I always thinking everything in a negative way, I scolded myself.

My foot were just tapping out of curiosity, forehead's sweating.  I must be nervous, I thought.  I should be.  Why wouldn't I?

I can go to terrace, nobody would ask me anything, right?  All I want is an excuse to say to.  Okay, I finally made up my mind and started walking towards the upstairs.  

And what I saw there was such an gasping moment for me, unbelievable.  I couldn't believe my own eyes. 

I saw Akash holding her by waist, they both were standing close, too close to each other, and Arya's face was hiding his face, they were kissing.  Shit!  They both were kissing.

 Arya kissing him?  I thought I really liked her because of he innocence, maybe she isn't that innocence after all, I guess.  

"What the hell, Arya? It's barely been a day, after what happened I hope you know about that and here you are almost about to kiss ex fiance?" Alexa said from behind me.

I thought I was the only one there and most importantly I know she didn't know where I was going.  Unless she followed me here.  She saw me walking to terrace and she thought she'd like to join me or something like that, that't how that must be,

There was a silence. Arya neither Akash dared to not to speak a word in this situation. They both know it's such a awkward moment for both of them so they kept quite, I assumed.

"Answer me, anyone!" Alexa literally yelled.

Arya glanced up at me I stared at her with that "Unbelievable" disgusted look. But what can I do. I was hoping for her to say that there was nothing happened between them and this was just a misunderstanding but neither of them opened their mouth.  That made me furious on both of them.

I maintained my look at Arya.  Finally, she seems like she was going to say something.  I and Alexa looked at her for her side of the view.  "We were just talk_"  Arya was about to say but a sharp and raspy voice of Akash interrupted her talking.

"I like her." Akash said.

I turned, looked at him with wide eyes.  I couldn't think anything, all I wanted to do was throw him from that terrace but when the thought made me cringe and scared myself.  I'm not that of a horrible person, am I?  I'm not.

"I really, really like her.  I did a big mistake by calling off this engagement.  Arya..." he turned to look at Arya who averted her gaze from me to look back at him.  "Arya, say a word, I'll fix this mistake and rearrange our wedding.  I can talk to our parents.  Just say a word." he said, placing his right hand on her shoulder.

That made me clench my teeth.  What the hell is happening to me.

"Arya, just say a fucking word and it'll change our world." He said, smiling devilishly at her like as if he was the happiest man on the planet.

Say, "no" Arya.  Say, "no".  I was wishing to change the word in her mouth if she was going to say "yes".  Say, "no".

"Arya, we need to talk." Alexa said to her and dragged her to the corner of the terrace and they both whispered something like a girly chat.  I and Akash saw, Arya nodding as Alexa putting some kind of a master mind plan for her future.  

Then couple of minutes later they both came and stood in front of us.  Alexa crossed her arm, again.  Arya, took a deep breath as if she was ready, already made up her mind.

"Guys, I need to clear somethings up." Arya said.  

Okay, well that's going to be interesting.  Now she caught my total attention.  I'm one hundred percent now listening.  

"We weren't kissing." Woah! that's a relief but she still needs to clear somethings up.  "We were just talking what you saw was totally a misunderstanding.  Yes we were about to... kiss but then I felt wrong... after cancelling the engagement and stuff like that.  And Akash," She fixed her eyes on him.  "I need some time.  I can't just take my life long decision within a second."

"I understand." Akash said.  "Take all the time you want.  I'll wait for your answer."

There was a silence.

"Thanks, Akash for understanding me." she said smiling.

"Okay, boys.  It's late, we are going to bed." Alexa said and they both were half-way to the stairs.

"Arya, I need to tell you something." I literally shouted.  

They both paused were they were about to descend the stairs.  

Alexa turned back.  "Enough of this drama already, go to your bed, Max.  Can we please talk this tomorrow?" she sighed.

"Arya, the tour is still on right?  If it is, can you count +one too." Akash said with a high pitched-happy tone.

"Sure," Alexa and Arya said at the same voice.

I wanted to tell her how I feel about her but the time seemed never working for me.
