Agatha was...well...she couldn't explain it. Every time she saw Tedros she got all jittery and nervous. And then she scolded herself because she shouldn't feel that way. Accept...she kind of liked it. But she hated that she liked it. But she liked that she had this to hate. She was very confused.

She'd never felt like this about any of the boys back home. Sophie joked with her that none of the boys would take her any way, but that was at home. At Hogwarts, boys seemed to actually notice her. And not just that. They actually acted like morons over her. It was a nice feeling. A feeling she knew she shouldn't get used to because as soon as Sophie transferred to Gryffindor, which Sophie repeatedly assured Agatha would happen, the boys would be all over her and Agatha would be ignored.

Anyway it wasn't unnatural for boys to like Sophie. She was extremely pretty and very polite (most of the time). But Agatha knew she was going to miss being wanted. Especially as she kind of felt like she had a chance with Tedros.

Agatha looked up from the book that she was pretending to read in the common room as Tedros came and sat next to her, looking miserable.

"I have my detention." he grumped.

"I'm really sorry about that" said Agatha guiltily.

"No, no I didn't mean it like that. It's not your fault Manley's a jerk, but I just know he's going to get me to do something stupid and completely unnecessary like clean and relabel every ingredient in the pantry."

"Oh" said Agatha. "Well I hope he doesn't give you to much of a hard time." she added.

"Wishful thinking" laughed Tedros half heartedly. Then he got up and left the common room.

Tedros's P.O.V.

Tedros took a deep breathe and knocked on the door of the dungeon. "Enter" came a voice from inside. Tedros walked in, keeping his posture, he wasn't going to give Manely the satisfaction of seeing him miserable.

"Do you know why you are here?" asked Professor Manely, trying to get a rise from Tedros.

"Yes, Sir" said Tedros through gritted teeth.

"And why is that?" asked Manely smirking.

"Because I gave you cheek in class Sir" Tedros said, feeling like he was going to hurl.

"Well. I don't care for that in my classroom Pendragon, no matter how highly you think of yourself being the son of Arthur. He was a nuisance at school and you seem to be following his footsteps."

Tedros went beet red desperately trying to compose himself so that he wouldn't shout at Manely.

"In today's detention you will be plucking the thorns off this plant and chopping them finely, then putting them in bottles and stacking them in the pantry."

Tedros eyed the fearsome looking plant, it was covered in thick purple thorns that looked poisonous. "Sir won't I need gloves for handling that?"

"Yes" said Professor Manely "to bad we don't have any" he said sneering.

Tedros could feel his anger rising past breaking point, he opened his mouth to say something- then he took a deep breathe. Agatha wouldn't shout at a teacher. Agatha would just get on with it.

"Ok Sir" said Tedros loathsomely glaring at Manely. He went over to the plant and started plucking.

A few hours later Tedros had plucked, chopped and stacked all the thorns from the plant. And his hands were covered in deep cuts and blisters. Although he didn't make a sound as blood seeped from his hands.

"Good" said Manely looking at the shelves and then at Tedros's beaten hands. "Now get out".

Tedros hurried away.

He climbed through the portrait hole and saw Agatha sleeping with a book on her lap. She'd obviously tried to wait up for him, but fallen asleep. He sat down next to her, and she stirred. She sat up, saw his hands and her mouth fell open in shock.

"What'd he do to you?" she said, her own hands quivering at the state of Tedros's.

"Doesn't matter" said Tedros, trying not to make a huge fuss about it. "Sorry for waking you".

"No, I tried to wait up for you. Hang on, I think I know a spell to stop the bleeding. She gently took his hand (Tedros immediately noticed it was warm and soft), and whispered an incantation, holding her wand above it. The blood washed away, the cuts scabbed over and the blisters healed. Tedros flexed his hand, feeling no pain.

"T-thankyou" said Tedros, amazed at how good Agatha was at magic.

Agatha realised she hadn't let go of Tedros's hand and dropped it quickly. "Well we should probably get to bed, don't want to be to tired for tomorrow."

Tedros nodded and both of them hurried away to their dormitories.

When Tedros opened the door to his dorm, he saw Chaddick, sitting on his bed, reading a book. "Hey mate." said Chaddick. "How was detention?"

"Painful" said Tedros "But Agatha cleared up my cuts".

"Oh she did, did she?" said Chaddick.

"Yep" said Tedros, slumping on his bed.

"And she just happened to be in the common room?" asked Chaddick.

"No." said Tedros, taking off his robes and putting his pyjama top on. "She waited up for me."

"Because you asked her to?" asked Chaddick, but it sounded more like a statement.

"No" said Tedros, pulling back the covers of his bed "she did it off her own back."

"Oh" said Chaddick, frowning. "And she did that for you?" he said, trying to disguise his grumpy tone.

"Yeah" said Tedros "Kinda sweet actually". said Tedros trying to sound causal.

"Mmm" said Chaddick. Then they both rolled over and went to sleep.
