Jungkook and his friends made their way towards his fathers office. The Jaguars building was an enormous 19th century Victorian mansion, with long corridors and arched stairways. The house had almost everything, from a ball room to a taxiway for their private jet. His fathers office was in the west wing of the house. He remembered how he was never allowed there without his mother or older siblings.

But ever since he had finally become part of the family business, trips to his office either for a new mission or for reporting was normal. But never has he been that nervous to meet his father.

The situation – the Scarlet Incident – wasn't supposed to go that wayward.

It was just supposed to be fun.

A prank on the Perseus family.

His team - his Horsemen what he affectionately liked to call them (even though they weren't four but they could represent facets of apocalypse if they wanted to) – had planned a fun way to get back at the Perseus for a failed mission. They had recently acquired an extremely rare gemstone from New Mexico that was found in Utah which was 1000 times valuable than gold.

Also known as Scarlet Emerald.

The Horsemen had planned a heist to steal that gemstone. But they didn't want anyone other than them to know. Hence, they asked a good friend of them to aid them in their mission. Park Jimin. A 28-year-old hacker from Busan. He technically worked as a senior barista at his father's super popular café. But he worked as an underground hacker for a couple of years and now have been a constant partner of the Horsemen.

The gemstone was in a safe in one of Perseus country houses in Namwon. They had planned an elaborate plan to distract the security by creating a huge scene amongst the villagers and some people would get in the room where the safe was stored; one would guard the entrance of the room and another cracked open the safe. But the entrance to the safe was connected to the security system. It was nearly impossible to disable such a complicated and large-scale security system. They had perfected the timings when one would enter the house and exactly at the same time, the room to the safe would open. Hence confusing the bodyguards and entering the room safely. Once they had procured the gemstone, they would leave from a carefully made pathway by Jimin, where he had hacked the security cameras.

It was pretty easy mission.

If the Kim family hadn't been there.

The Kim family was the head of the Perseus. They were what the Jeon family was to Jaguars. The entire family wasn't there. Only the daughter, Kim Eunjin and the youngest son, Kim Yeonjun. But their personal security was a hefty challenge. And the worse had been the presence of Suga.

Suga was bad news. He was a big deal in the Perseus family, despite not being a Kim. His rank in the Perseus was near to the top and his entire personal team and himself were top-notch fighters.

And if that hadn't been bad already, Jungkook had got to know that Jimin and Suga apparently knew each other. They had history together. And not like I-have-met-you-somewhere-and-I-found-you-cute-and-we-dated-for-a-while history. A full I-loved-you-but-we-broke-up-but-still-care-for-each-other history. It wasn't clear whether Jimin bothered with Suga anymore or not, but it was clear Suga did, despite the poor fellow had tried his best not to show his feeling. But his best hadn't been very best, as Chaeyoung was easily able to manipulate him using Jimin.

That had given the Horsemen to escape while Jimin distracted Suga and his men.

They had barely been able to run for their lives.

But the Perseus hadn't been a bit pleased. Especially the Kims.

They had caught up with them couple of days later as they had tried to make their way back to Seoul. Namwon came into the Perseus territory, being Jaguars, they had to be extremely careful to leave quietly and unrecognized.

The Horsemen and a couple of their lower ranking soldiers were spending the night in one of their hideouts when the Perseus had struck. The fight had been going well till Jungkook had seen Wonho going down on his knees, begging. He had been stunned to find out he had been seeing a girl from the Perseus. And Jaehyun was about to kill her. But Wonho had begged to spare her live cause he loved her very much. He was about to throw away his honor of being a Jaguar for love. But it hadn't been the case of the girl as in spite of seeing her lover on his knees, she had attacked Jaehyun, leaving him grievously injured.

Lisa couldn't control her anger towards the girl hurting her boyfriend like that as she had just casually cocked her gun and had blew her brains out.

The whole Wonho-on-his-knees thing had given time for the Perseus to gather more men, making the Jaguars outnumbered. They had become frantic and were mere breaths away from getting killed or worse, captured for the Perseus to torture. In their haste for leaving, they had left Kim Yeonjun injured.

Now that was the problem.

Drawing blood from the Kims by the Jeons or vice versa, was almost like drawing blood from a member of the royal family. There too, royal blood was slipped. That has severe consequences.

That gave the Kim family and the Perseus full authorization to ask for blood back.

Blood for Blood.

Jungkook reached the main doors of his fathers office. He clasped the handle and paused. He glanced at his friends. They said nothing, just nodded with the same look in all their eyes. If he went down, they would go down with them. That gave Jungkook some confidence and pride. He knew shit was going down. He just has to own it.

He took a deep breath.

Here goes nothing.

He pushed the doors open.
