There was a boy we all loved and his name was Namjoon

Most of the time, he acted like a goon

But truth be told, he was very, very smart

And on top of that, he had a great big heart

He loved to ride his bike; he was a very gentle soul

His thoughts were like poetry as he rode around Seoul

He commanded respect, yet he gave it out too

He was as tall and strong as a chute of bamboo

His body was too big for as gentle as he was

His limbs took up too much space for his aura, soft as fuzz

He had another side of him, when he played it cool

His rhymes were so powerful, he took us all to school

Everyone would lean on him, as sturdy as a tree

Namjoon would take the brunt of it, quiet as could be

For everyone, he never stopped to cry and shout

Whenever the bad parts of life would come lurking about

Namjoon was like a father to everyone he loved

He taught us all that family was more than just by blood

We called him daddy jokingly, but just all in good fun

Yet whenever he spoke to us, we would all be stunned

By how much soul he had in him

That unique boy called Namjoon Kim

I think I'll always love him, though he never knew my name

Namjoon has done so much for me; I'll never be the same.
