We finish dinner and another bottle of wine. "It's my turn to pick a movie." My phone dings. I look and see Chris's name. I check the message:

Hey. I just wanted to say I hope you have a good night with Sebastian.
I miss you.

I think about what I want to say before I reply.

I hope you do too Chris.
I'll be back tomorrow night.

I look up and realize that Sebastian was watching me.

"Anything important?" He points to my phone.

I turn the phone off, setting it on the coffee table, "no no. Not important."

He's still watching me. "Is there anything going on between you and Chris?"

I laugh. "Me and Chris? Definitely not. We're just friends."

He smiles at me. His eyes are intoxicating. "Okay. Come here." He sits on the chaise part of the couch and pats next to him. "We should finish the movie in time to watch the ball drop."

I sit next to him and he puts his right arm around me. I decide to put my legs over his and he puts a blanket on us. After a while he looks at me and puts his left hand on my cheek.

He puts his face close to mine and I feel my heart begin to race, "I'm really glad you decided to come."

"Me too Seb." I watch him nervously.

He doesn't move, I can feel his breath on my face. "I want to kiss you, but I think I'll wait until midnight." He smirks and leans back. He puts his hand on my legs, rubbing them under the blanket.

I chuckled. "Who says I want you to kiss me?"

He laughs, "you do."

I snuggle into him and put my arm on his chest as he continues to rub my legs. A part of me wants him to go further than just my legs. As we finish watching the movie I notice his heart is beating just as hard as mine is. When it ends he turns on the countdown for the ball drop. We have a few minutes. He gets up and goes to the kitchen and comes back with two glasses of champagne as the countdown reaches 30 seconds.

He hands me a glass and I stand up with him. He stares at me as we listen to the countdown. I feel like his eyes are baring into my soul. I've never been with someone so intense. As it reaches the end of the countdown we both take a drink of the champagne. I start to say something, but he steps forward and grabs my glass and puts them both on the table. He puts his arms around my waist and pulls me to him. He never breaks eye contact. He speaks softly as I put my hands on his neck, "Happy New Year."

"Happy new Year Sebastian." I smile at his as he smirks.

He grabs me and pulls me in close. "Can I kiss you now?" We both chuckle.

I nod, "I thought you'd never ask."

He hovers for a minute before gently pressing his lips to mine. He moves a hand to my neck and kisses me again with more hunger. I didn't realize how much I wanted this. He starts to kiss me hungrily as he lifts me up and lays me on the couch, his lips never leaving mine. He puts a hand behind my hips, and the other behind my head, pressing his body hard against mine. His tongue dances with mine as he explores my mouth with his tongue, making it his. He trails kisses to my neck and shoulder and back to my mouth. I realize where this is leading and I'm not sure I'm ready yet.

"Seb, wait." He pulls away, both of us out of breath. He lets me sit up, "I'm sorry, I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet."

He smiles and strokes my cheek, "hey, no worries. We don't have to rush anything."

I lean forward and kiss him. "Can we just go to sleep?"

"Of course."
