lost and found love (kirideku)

Part 10

"Wow."

They stood there staring at each other, neither knowing what to say or do. "So...do you actually like me?" Kirishima questioned Deku uncertainly.  

"Y-yes, Of course I do! I'm still not 100 percent over Uraraka, but tonight I realized that i-it's you I'd like to be with. T-that is if you feel the same." He responded, avoiding eye contact with the other boy and twiddling his thumbs. 

"Midoriya," Kiri placed a hand on Deku's face and turned it to look at his own. "You've been there for me even though you've probably been hurting much worse than me lately. In fact, you've always been there for me when I needed you. You're everything I've wanted. I want to be with you." They locked eyes and Kiri saw that a light blush was still dusting Deku's face. "Come on, I want to take you somewhere." Kirishima dragged Deku (again) out of the door. They exited the dorms and walked out of the school. 

It was technically against the rules to be out of the dorms at this time of night, but no one would notice. Besides, this was important. "Where are we going?" Midoriya asked in a quiet voice, as if he was afraid to wake up the stars. 

"You'll see, we're almost there." 

He wondered where Kiri could be taking him. But he just held on to Kirishima's hand and kept following along. They walked around to the back of the school and Kiri stopped. "Look." He said, pointing to the night sky. The stars were out and it was breathtaking. The moon was also bright in the night sky. 

"It's pretty." Midoriya whispered. They stood there hand in hand for a while just looking at the stars. 

Eventually they ended up laying down on their backs on the damp grass. It was quite cold out, but they both did their best to keep each other warm. They were there a while, talking about things from favorite food to Midoriyas moms death. "Midobro," Kiri said after a brief second of silence. "Do you, um, want to be my boyfriend?"

"I- I would l-love to! Are you sure?"

"I wouldn't be asking you if I wasn't sure Mido." Kiri said with a laugh. 

"Yes I want to be your boyfriend!" Deku responded happily. 

It was very late when they went back inside. This felt familiar. This time they went to Deku's dorm and they both slept in the tiny bed. There wasn't a lot of space, but neither minded. They fell asleep in eachothers arms and Midoriya didn't have any nightmares at all that night.

In class the next day, Aizawa announced that they would soon go on a class trip to America. "What? Where in America?" Deku asked standing up. This was the first time anybody in 1a was hearing about this. 

"Sit down problem child and I'll tell you. Next week we will be going to one of the hero schools in America and learn about school there. It will be for 8 days and we will stay in a hotel. I know this is short notice, principle Nezu just set this up. Deal with it. Now Midoriya to answer your question, we will be going to New Jersey (i know nothing about New Jersey, I just picked a random state) and going to Summers University for heros in training. Any questions?"

Midoriya raised his hand. "Yes problem child?"

"Where will we be staying? I- I mean where in New Jersey?"

"I don't know, somewhere pretty close to the school probably. We haven't worked out all of the details yet. Any reason you ask?"

"My dad lives in New York.." 

"HAH?! STUPID DEKU YOU DON'T HAVE A DAD." Bakugou exclaimed.

"I do have a dad dumbass. And he lives in America. In fact, he's also a pretty well known hero. I don't actually know him that well since I grew up with my mom here, but I have a pretty good relationship with him. Maybe you'll even get the pleasure of meeting him soon Bakugou."
