Chapter 24: The Kamo clan(part 1)

Hearing people talking about her like that is always hard.

Miyo Kamo, despite having inherited one of the hereditary techniques of the kamo clan, "Absolute command", She is just a 3rd grade sorcerer, she is considered as a failure. What makes it even worst is that, we are the children Jinichiro Kamo. He is a well known sorcerer in the jujutsu society, he was supposed to be the head of the clan until Noritoshi was born, the holder of blood manipulation, the main hereditary technique of the clan.

Noritoshi must be the head of the clan in name but the one pulling the string from the shadow is our father, which put us in a tight spot, we must live up to everyone's expectations.

Today is another normal day, we were asked by our father to stay at the Kamo mansion instead of going to Tokyo jujutsu tech. Since most of the sorcerer are dispatched in Kyoto, we were asked to guard the mansion, it is pretty relaxing, things should remain like this for a little while.

- Hey Iguro, remember to go check the garden before everyone comes around, says My sister.

Oh yeah it is true that today we have a meeting and the highest ranked sorcerer of the clan will be here. So we have to make sure the place is well guarded. All this meetingd are such a pain in the butt we are going to listen to some old boring reports, it is the only thing on everyone's mind right now.

In the afternoon, the elite of the Kamo clan is there, anyone who's ranked semi-grade 1 or above, so I have to attend too, I gotta be strong and try not to sleep in the middle of everything,

- Iguro..., it is nice to see you, says Noritoshi kamo.

- It is nice to see too sir.

- I beleive that everybody else is here, yes? he asks.

- Pretty much sir, follow me.

I take him to the room where the meeting is taking place, the others are already there and ready to get the meeting started. But this time, something is off, our father isn't here, not only him but there many of his close followers in the clan who are not present what's going on?

- I see that Jinichiro isn't here yet, where is he? Asks Kamo-senpai.

- His mission is taking longer than expected, so he won't be attending, replies Shinkiro another close follower of my father.

That would have been more convincing coming from someone else, but if Shinkiro is the one saying it, father must have avoided this meeting on purpose. Noritoshi-senpai decide to get the meeting started without father and the others who are no present.

And just as expected it is some plain boring reports! Someone kill me please!!! In this meeting they sure give more information than the ones provided by the school. For example they give the location of where the suspects are supposed to be, and Futakushi Shimizu is the one who is leading the team that is investigating the underground curse user organisation, isn't that Mirai's father the famous special 1st grade sorcerer. All this is would be good if I was interested in all this.

As the meeting progresses tension rises they all start arguing on the course of action of the clan should take and how to take advantage of the situation to improve the status of the clan in the jujutsu society. Just as the noise of those old geezers is getting louder the ceiling just collapse on us. I react immediately and use my technique get out of there, I take with me Shinkiro and another guy. We manage get out of there unharmed,

- Nicely done Iguro, says Shin.

I moved us barely out of the meeting rom right now we are in the garden right next to it, when we take a look at it, it appears that Noritoshi protected everyone with cursed technique,

- Is everyone okay? He asks as look around him.

Aside from one who is severely injured, and 5 others who have some minor injuries,

- Would you look at that, the pride of the kamo clan, what an entertaining sight, says an old lady.

She is accompanied by a strange tall guy with some long black hair. I've never seen any of them before, which means they might be the invaders, but there is no way 2 people could have broken through the defenses all by themselves, talk about the defenses I wonder if my big sis is alright.

- What are you doing here Yumi? Asks Noritoshi, is this all your doing?

- Noritoshi..., it's been while hasn't it?!? Look at you, you are all grown up now. Replies the old lady.

This discussion looks interesting and all but right now I'm more concerned about my sister, I wonder if she is fine, meanwhile the exchange between the senpai and the old lady continues,

- Who was it that helped you? Asks Noritoshi.

- Are you seriously going to accuse your own people of betrayal before the party has started already? Asks the old hag.

- I highly doubt that it's a coincidence for you to attack while the most important figures of our clan are gathered here.

He has a point the timing is too perfect for this to be a coincidence,

- I'd say that the traitor is Jinichiro, starts Noritoshi, I found it odd that he didn't show up at today's meeting, normally he would jump at the occasion and try to drag me down.

- Ahaha..., you really are quick thinker, and yes you are right he is the one who arranged all this.

She is admitting that my father helped her to attack the clan?!? What hell does all this mean, what is he doing working with curse users,

- I get that he doesn't like to have me as the head of the clan, but I didn't expect him to go as far as working with the likes of you.

- Didn't anybody told you to respect your elders?

- Yeah whatever! But if you don't mind me asking what is it that the two of you are seeking here?

- Didn't guess already? We want to burn this whole clan down to ashes, this clan that strip some many things away from us.

- In that case I got one question for all the person here..., start Noritoshi, I know that most of you don't want me as the head of this clan, I know that you would like to have Jinichiro, so are going to follow his example and work with these curse user or are you going to stand with me and bring them down?

This question raises many more questions, ever since I started as a sorcerer I did everything my dad told me, what he is doing is wrong and every fiber of my body tells me to follow his lead. What do I do?
