Chapter 4: Quality Time

Seam's POV
       I showed Husk to his room and went back to the living room. I sat down and put my head in my hands. I had a long day and needed a rest. I felt the couch shift next to me and looked over to see Jevil.
            "You seem to be rather tired" Jevil remarked.
            "Oh definitely"
            "I'm tired too"
            "You get tired?"
        Jevil and I laughed at that. Jevil got up to go to his room, but then turned back to me.
            "One question"
            "Shoot"
            "Why did you let that guy sleep here? What was his name? Musk? Sus? Something like that."
"It's Husk"
"Why invite him in?"
            "He had no where to stay. I couldn't leave him out there like that"
            "You don't let any other homeless people into our home, unless there's something you wanna tell me about."
"I don't know why I did it to be honest. Just felt compelled to do it."
"Yeah, okay okay. I'm gonna go to sleep. Haven't had a nice rest in while."
            "I should too."
             I got up from the couch and yawned. Today had gone well. I walked from the couch to the guest room and opened the door. Husk was sprawled on the bed and seemed fast asleep. I closed the door and went back to my room. I lied down and closed my eyes, readying myself for sleep.

Third Person POV
Seam got up early and rubbed his eyes. He checked the clock next to him. It read 6:45am and Seam got out of bed. He went to his vanity and brushed himself. He may look disheveled and tattered but he still took some care of himself. He got up and decided to get the merchandise. He put some "dark burgers" on the stove and while they cooked he took some when to rearrange the armor and weapons he also sold.
When he looked into his storage closet he noticed that something was missing. He sighed and went to Jevil's room and saw the imp creature brushing his teeth.
"Good Morning Jevil,"
Jevil rinsed his mouth and looked over at Seam.
"Mornin Seam! Did ya have a nice sleep?" Seam nodded and rested in the doorway of the room.
"Yeah, I did."
"Is there anything you need?"
"Wanna know what we forgot yesterday?"
"Dark Fruit"
"I thought for sure we picked some yesterday. Did you, you check the storage."
                 "Yes, I checked the storage."
                 "Should I go out and get some?" Seam pondered for a minute and decided.
                 "Nope, I'll go out and get some myself. Do you mind running to shop while I'm gone, it gonna open soon?"
                 Jevil seemed to light up as Seam said those words. Seam didn't let Jevil run the shop often so Jevil loved when he did.
                 "I have absolutely no problem running to shop!"
          Seam laughed and left the room to prepare for his day out. He grabbed two large empty bags and went to the kitchen to turn off the stove seeing that the burgers were already charred. Husk was coming out of his room as Seam was about to leave. Seam looked at the cat rubbing his eye and smiled
                 "Good morning, Husk"
                 "G'mornin Seam" Husk looked at the bags in Sean's hand. "Where are ya goin?"
                 "I forgot to get some Dark Fruit and it's been in rather high demand lately so I decided to go and pick some."
                  "Oh nice." Husk was about to go back into his room when something compelled him to ask
                  "You want help?"
                  "Huh?"
                  "Do you want me to help you get the fruit?"
                  "You don't need to do that. You're our guest."
                  "If I'm going to stay here, I might as well help." Seam stayed silent for a second, just looking at Husk, then laughed.
                  "I'll be waiting outside, don't be to long."
                   Seam walked outside and Husk followed shortly after. They walked for a bit before stopping near the edge of the forest.
