Eric decided to start off the winter break right — by waking up after noon.

Then, immediately, he turned on his computer, ignoring the still-closed curtains, and logged onto a game of Valorant.

His fun didn't last very long, though. Not long after Eric woke up, his roommate, Kim Sunwoo, came in from his morning shift at the café.

Sunwoo sighed, relaxing as soon as he stepped foot in the dorm. "Oh, man, I need some sleep," he complained, yawning. He frowned in Eric's direction. "Dude, what are you doing in the dark? It's already noon."

The older boy drew the curtains back, letting in the sun. Eric hissed like a vampire, covering his face.

Sunwoo rolled his eyes. "You drama queen." Eric glared at him, , stuck out his tongue, then put on a pair of sunglasses and returned to his game.

Sunwoo tsked. "It's actually kind of nice outside," he remarked. "You know who I saw in the café at like, the crack of dawn?"

When he received no response, he continued. "That one upperclassman, Bae Jacob. He was writing a song, I think." Sunwoo blushed. "God, I don't know why that's attractive."

Eric snorted. "Hey," he said, turning around his chair. "You're down horrendous, huh?"

"Hey, I'm not—!" Sunwoo's retorts went unnoticed by the younger boy, who just turned back to his game.

Ding! Eric's phone went off on the table.

Sunwoo grabbed it quickly. "Ooh, who's this?" he asked slyly. "'Juyeon'?" he read from the notification.

Eric jumped up, forgetting all about his game. "Hey, don't look at that!" He reached for the phone, but Sunwoo jerked it away.

"Wait, is this that heartthrob from Amare House?" Sunwoo teased. "Ooh, what are you doing texting him?"

"Shut up," Eric said, still grabbing for his phone. "He's just a friend. Now, give me back my phone."
