"I knew hookers were going to be here, so I'm not sure why I'm so surprised she's here" I mumbled to Jack, taking my eyes off Erin"Y/n, what the fuck?" Jack burst into a fit of laughter which caused me to laugh along with him.
"Behave" Jonah squeezed my thigh
"Jonah, keep your bitch on a leash, no one has to get hurt tonight" Erin winked at me, still hovering beside Jonah's ear
"Alright Erin, I think it's best if you leave" Jack stuck up for me
If she didn't get out of my sight, or at least got her hands off Jonah, someone would've got hurt that night and wouldn't have been me
"Just think about it, you know where to find me" Erin smiled, brushing her lips across Jonah's neck before she walked away
"What did she say?" I mumbled as the table went back to their original conversations
"Don't worry about it"
"Seriously? I thought we weren't lying to each other" I quickly downed the rest of my drink
"I'm not lying, I'm withholding information" Jonah smirked to himself with his glass pressed against his lips
"I'm going to get another drink" I mumbled as I pushed myself off my chair.
I took small strides towards the bar, not able to take fast steps in that stupid dress. I stopped at the bar, leaning my elbows on the counter, waiting for the bartender to notice me.
"Can I get you a drink?" I looked to my right, seeing a tall blonde with bright green eyes.
He must have been covered in tattoos but all I could see were the ones on his neck and hands.
He had a bright smile with terrifyingly white teeth and his all black suit fit him too well.
"That'd be great, thank you" I smiled politely
"Christopher" The man waved, immediately making the bartender scurry over
"Yes, Mr. Fox?" Chris looked frightened
"The beautiful lady here would like a drink. What would you like, peaches?" I mentally rolled my eyes at the nickname
"A double rye and coke please"
"Of course ma'am" The bartender mumbled quickly, clearly scared of 'Mr. Fox'
"You must be a big deal" I turned my head to see Mr. Fox already looking at me with a flirtatious smile
"You could say that" He shrugged with a low chuckle, stepping closer to me
"Alexander, I know you're not flirting with my girl" I looked back seeing Jonah walking up to us with an angry look
"Jonah, it's been a while"
"Not long enough" Jonah walked up behind me, wrapping his arms around my stomach, pulling me a little away from Alexander
The bartender quickly placed down my drink, then looked up to us, seeing Jonah.
"Can I get anything for you, Mr. Marais?"
"Whatever she's having" Christopher nodded before quickly walking away
"So this is your girl, huh?" Alexander looked me up and down before biting onto his bottom lip. "She looked lonely"
"I shot you once, don't make me do it again" Christopher placed Jonah's drink down on the counter.
"Come on, it's all in good fun"
"I'm sure we'll meet again soon"
"Sooner than you think..."
Jonah grabbed his drink and my hand before he started walking back to our table.
Before we made it all the way back, Jonah stopped me, pulling me into a hug
"I'm sorry, she was just telling me if I wanted to hook up then to go find her. I'd never do that to you and you know that. Just keep your distance from Alexander, he's not good news" Jonah mumbled so no one close by could hear
"You could've pushed her away, or at least said no"
"I didn't want to make a scene, especially with her new boyfriend lurking around"
"Who's her boyfriend?" Not like I cared, but I was interested in who was willing to put up with her
"The older gentleman who runs these events. I need to be invited back here, it's good for business" I nodded so he knew that I heard him but didn't say anything, I wasn't exactly sure what to say.
"Hey, you know I love you, right?" Jonah pulled out of the hug, tilting my head up with his free hand
"Yes" I smiled
"And I know you love me, right?" Jonah put on his child like grin
"Yeah"
"Then that's all we need" He kissed my lips before we walked over to the table, seeing half of them gone.
"Hey, everyone just went to the bathroom" Zach smiled as him and Jack were the only ones there
"If you have to go, go now, the dinner and speeches will be starting soon" Jonah smiled as he took my glass from my hand.
"Okay, I'll be back"
I kissed Jonah's cheek and he pointed to a hallway where I assumed the bathrooms were.
I walked down the creepy long hallway to see Franny and Kay leaving the bathroom. They both smiled at me as I approached them.
"Do you want us to wait for you?" Franny asked with a polite smile
"No, I'm good, thank you" I smiled, seeing Daniel and Corbyn leave a separate bathroom as well.
I walked past the girls and entered the empty bathroom. It was awfully nice, it went well with the rest of the building.
When I was done my business, I checked myself out in the mirror, making sure my hair and makeup was still okay before I left out the bathroom.
"Oh hey" I walked fully out of the bathroom, seeing a familiar face coming down the empty hallway
He looked back, checking out his surroundings. I shrugged my shoulders going to walk past him but before I made it, he grabbed ahold of my throat, slamming me against the wall. I groaned out in pain as my head made contact with a corner of a picture frame hung on the wall.
"What are you doing? Get your hands off me" I fumbled with his hand, trying to pull it off of my throat so I could breathe again
"Stop fucking talking" He spat back.
